lol... this bring me back to that NA-only- contest, the Culinarian Contest anyone? which only NA can submit, and non-NA (EU) cannot join?
ok i guess ill just wait another couple years for a contest that i actually can participate in...
The thing is, us EU people living somewhere else than those few spesific countries can't take part in any of these contests.
Garuda was an exception and I wonder how come the rules for that were different.![]()
If wishes were horses beggars would ride...
and we would be overrun with horses as well..
On a side note: can participants reply in more than one language? I am fluent in both french and english, so would it be okay if i made 2 responses in english and one in french for exmple? Thanks~~

What kind of BS is this?
The prize is the same as for the Garuda contest, there's no money involved, no gambling (you could argue that guessing the correct time is gambling in the case of the Garuda contest, but there's nothing even remotely close to that here!), yet this contest is all of a sudden super-restricted. What. The. Heck. Seriously, that makes no sense at all and it's just not fair.
It's not a European contest if it's only for some Europeans. OH. RIGHT. Some animals are more equal than others.
I'm sorry to day this but Blizzard have had a daily photo contest for weeks already in preparation for Diablo III's release, and you should see the metric F-ton of countries that are allowed to participate in THEIR contest's rules. Considering that they're having you upload a picture from your Facebook account, there's tons of ways this could go all sorts of wrong. But they still do it, and the prize is very real tangible swag (autographed mousepads).
You're only asking us to anonymously post a wish and the only reward is a fake in-game scarf. And you're not even able to offer that to more than a handful of countries?
I think you're actually managing to insult more people than you are actually pleasing with this stupid contest.
Think about it.
Geez.
Next time you make a contest, try to spend a little more time in advance to get in line with other countries' regulations, and make something that's worth everyone's while.
Greetings everyone!
First of all, I would like to deeply apologise to all European players who aren’t eligible to enter this contest. It really saddens the whole European Community Team not be allowed to accept entries from all participants.
We have been striving for opening contests to more countries with our Legal team so as many players as possible could enter. We strongly believe that the more participants the more fun.
Some of you may be wondering “How come Garuda’s contest was open to everyone and not this one”. As Garuda’s contest was based on something that took place solely in-game (the necessary time to defeat Garuda), we were able to open it to all countries. As the nature of this contest is different (forum based only), we had no other choice to restrict it to countries my colleague Sasunaich listed earlier.
Again, we all are sorry for the inconvenience and we understand the frustration from non eligible players.
What about NA players living in europe? Or european players in america? Didnt really say what you meant by EU contest. European players in europe?
Hark...was that an animal farm reference? What kind of BS is this?

All matters for SE is the region of your SQEX Account... Where you live "right now" is irrelevant, I mean the prize being an in-game item, they have no way to check if you live in the right country or not. They can only check the information you provided to them.
Antipika.
