What happened to the Garlean flagship in Heaven's Ward

Do we know what happened to the airship that the Garleans flew up to Azys La, after Ysale wrecked it as Shiva, at the cost of her life? I don't remember it ever turning up again. Does that mean it crashed and only Varis and parts of the crew escaped on the smaller transport ships?

The ship is still there. It wasn't sunk, it still made it to Azys Lla. You can visit the ship yourself right now.


Edit: Also, Varis wasn't there, that was Regula.

I mean technically it is "sunk", that engine wont be working anymore. But yes the ship is still there, it's just functionally useless.

So it's essentially beached, useful as a fortified base, but effectively out as a vessel.

Shiva's attack on the Gration froze it's ceruleum engines, leaving it in (evidently) permanent "drydock" (so to speak) in Azys Lla.

Due to the nebulous way that time works in this game, I don't think we can say for certain what has happened to them since Heavensward. It's like a snapshot of their situation at that point, and same for the ARR castrum guards.

There is one very weird piece of, like... psuedo-evidence? The Sapphire Weapon has Regula's synthetic auracite, which I at least take to mean they recovered his body after he died.

The soldiers with him said they were going to send his body home for a proper burial in the concluding chapter of the questline. Not sure if it was before or after the Zurvan fight.

I might be misremembering, but I believe that the Garlean commander's armor was also designed to record their data during use, presumably transmitting it back to Garlemald, which is then used to create the artificial auracite anyway, so the body might not have been required. This is why we end up throwing hands with a Gaius copy despite him being alive and going missing.
