Is this the patch where they finally fix femroe faces? (no)

Holding out hope that the Cryptlurker sets get their texture updates. Lot of metallic textures on them that still have the old "matte" looking surface. The gear is fairly commonly used, especially since it's been given out with job boosts to 80.

They have a list in the preliminary patch notes of the gear that’s been updated for 7.3. So far it’s mostly weapons and AF gear. Dual dyes were added to mostly 70 AF/Eureka weapons and PvP gear sets.

Another patch fearing or being hopeful about changes until we log in and we bring the magnifying glasses out due to no list explaining them.

This. I’ve since Fantasiaed my alts to different races, but I kept my old Hyurs as retainers so I can see if the changes are significant enough to warrant changing back.

The big thing for me at this point is the eye, nose and mouth shapes… not the color, not the texture, not the shadows, but the actual shapes! If those aren’t fixed there’s really no point to it.

I've seen the notes and I know they aren't coming to 7.3, but I still hope it's high on their list of things to convert going forward.

I just DON'T trust them at this point. They purposely refuse to outline what they're supposedly fixing in this patch, because they'd just get called out for not fixing anything of substance that people actually wanted fixed.

I agree with you. They won't do any major changes (sadly, it includes mouth shapes and face sculpts, which are the worst offenders). Maybe SE will change eyelash direction or slightly correct the eye shape of one gender/race combination, and that's all we can expect. I'll continue to stockpile Fantasia and turn away every time my character smiles in cutscenes. (Yes, I have the misfortune of playing a male character, and yes, his smile is horrible. As always.)

Ironic that the expansion that gave us Smile also made smiles look so horrible.

I was looking into Fantasia-inf my character back into a Dusk Elf and the face combo I used for years on my account (switched to Steam) is just... Gone. The nose, chin, and eye shape have all changed just enough to be unrecognizable to me.

I can tell you now that's not the opinion most of us femroe players have right now...

I totally enjoy all faces having a mouth shape that makes smiles look, unironically, like

Just like I totally enjoy all the normal maps being fubared. And the brows being wrong; gone are the clear normal maps made for the different muscle structure, now we're just pretty smooth dolls complete with dead eyes from black pupils that are 15% larger than they ever used to be. They stripped us of all features that made femroe look like they weren't just a "bigger hyur" (while they also have butchered hyur, too.)

And then we have XIV mobile which fix a lot of the major gripes I've had since 7.0's benchmark and it's a slap to the face.

So no, sorry, not agreeing they "finished femroe." Smoothing out faces to the point of unrecognizability does not make a fix.
