What do we think about the new Belt-leather attire?

No, they are different outfits. The shirt, pants, and shoes are similar but different. That is why I don't bundle them together. Also if you're going to bundle them together, the price tag is $42, not $40. 18+18+6.

Like I get that we like to rage on SE for this kind of stuff, I don't disagree with it, but providing misinformation just makes the outrage look like a bunch of misguided and uninformed customers.

I for one will marry the person who buys me this set and I'll exclusively support them in any content they want to ru, for an entire month, on a role they need(i.e. healer/tank etc)

Desperation is the only thing that will drive them to do anything, good or bad. They seem bizarrely languid for a company that is depending on one game for half their income, especially given the rapidly declining state of that game.

The fact that its $24 USD to get a "complete" outfit is bad enough. The fact that you then have to buy a slight variation on it for $18 USD more is obscene. Absolutely tone deaf.

This set is a hard pass for me. The way the entire set is split into 3 purchases (and a total of $42!) does not sit right with me. Combined with what was said in the previous live letter (that ffxiv funds are stretched thin) it's clear that the money made from this set won't be put back into the game.
