That the backs of North America are keeping the Japanese company afloat with revenues from their MMO market, while also taking advantage of their online store sales, yet NA influence with regards to player feedback goes pretty much unnoticed. Before you say, "Oh, they took Reaper from us as feedback!" - Fantastic, one thing out of thousands they ignore and continue to ignore.

The hard truth here is like someone else pointed out - the management of that company is borderline run criminally. Their revenue is down, operating costs are up. That means they are going upside down, breaking their necks on trash that no one is buying, yet they are still producing.

I mean... that's probably every company at this point? I'm not an expert in corporate politics / economics tbh, but listening to players and consumers doesn't have much effect on management and whatever the shareholders want.

The PDF in question actually shows that

    1. Net sales are down about 30 billion yen, but

    2. Operating income increased from about 32 billion yen in FY2024 to about 40 billion yen in FY2025. That is an increase of around 8 billion yen. And this is with an 8 billion yen "loss" that was part of the announced "We're taking a hit by closing down game development and writing it off" from 2024

Operating income is what you have left over after paying every expense. It is "profit".

The "hard truth" is that they made more profit in FY2025, which is definitely not "going upside down".

As for the "backs of North America", North America/Europe does have 2.5 times the Total Units Sold than Japan. But the population of those markets is more like 800+ million people in North America/Europe compared to 143 million in Japan.

Financial reports do not note the regions that "keeps the company afloat with revenues from their MMO market". Speculation based on a guess, perhaps, but not a known fact.

Making a profit year after year is reason enough to continue doing what they're doing.
