Because they mean different things when they say "instanced", in a literal sense, yes, house wards are already individual instances, but what people want are small instances with modular loading that would lead to an equal amount of houses as there are characters, rather than the current very limited amount.

an Instance is an Instance, the only thing that would be loss is their ability to live track gardens and orchestrations, but in reality those can be stored as a SQL entry and next time the instance is loaded it just does a check on how long as passed since the last time the instance was loaded vs how long x garden should take to grow.

I also think we need more wards on existing worlds: mainly because it's not fun when in order to get the medium or large you've tried for years to get on your current home world instead you're told "Just move your character to this new world we've created that has all these empty wards, and try there!"

Which can mean leaving behind friends and family and FC people on your current world. Given that in some worlds/data centers they can at times be blocked off from people traveling TO them from other worlds/data centers, that's been a problem for folks wanting to go back to do things with friends on their old home world.

I am basically packing up to move to dynamis knowing I am losing a 9 year old FC and over 200 friends some who I have been friends with for over 2500+ 3000+ days because as you know majority of them will just stay on their home server and not bother DC hoping just to say hi and hang out.

My sympathies! Yeah, it's like telling the WoL, "Hey---you can move to this new planet out there and build your dream home... but forget about your Scion friends, because they have things they're doing back on the home world, and won't be visiting you much. If at all."

I mean... a central core of the story is the FRIENDSHIPS, right? It's kind of like asking the WoL to give up their besties, in order to have their own home. When said Scion besties, visiting YOU, can't access a lot of stuff from their home-world... like mail, retainers (and gil stored on them), etc. Sigh.

You are focusing too much on the exact terminology people are using. They are wrong about the exact mechanisms behind the housing process, but this is because they aren't programmers, the point they are trying to get across is that they think the way things work currently with housing wards with neighborhoods, is a terrible way to handle things, and they'd prefer houses that exist in a vacuum without anyone around them, but are still fully functional compared to current housing, and are in turn available to all.

Literally everything is an instance in this game, Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks, literally the most populated map in the game at any given time, is an instance, to laser focus on the the one detail in their argument that sounds off is dishonest, people are merely unaware of the exact mechanisms behind the game, but that doesn't make their feelings and opinions on the state of things invalid.

Before you move, have you tried creating or moving an alt to Dynamis? I would suggest you do that first, I sent my main alt to Seraph when it went live and I was able to get an S tier (P60) mansion plot in Shiro. I was able to enjoy housing for over a year and a half until my OG main won her personal large in Exodus after trying for over 7 years when I won it last early June. Having my home in Dynamis to tinker around with and decorate made the wait much more bearable until my OG main won her plot.



If you do decide to move your main to Dynamis, choose one of the new worlds like Cuchulainn, Golem or Rafflessia since those have tons of mediums and even a few mansion plots up for grabs. Kraken and Seraph don't have the Road to 90 buff too if you care about that and they will also cost you money to move there while the rest of the Dynamis worlds would be free. Seraph will be nearly as bad as Behe if you intend to get a FC plot larger than a small and it's worse for trying to get any plot for a personal plot.

I had an alt for a long time on Maduin who had a medium but I did not use it often enough to justify stealing a medium from someone else who would hopefully get more use from it instead of logging in once a week to do enclave hand-ins and walk in the house and leave (it was even fully furnished cause I stopped playing my main for a few months) but I went back to my main and I really don't play alts when there's already so much to do on the main and all my friends on my main and I am not looking to juggle two friend groups.

No offense but considering the population of Behemoth, if you havent gotten a house neither under the placard system or the lottery system, you are doing something very wrong, even people on Balmung have gotten larges and mediums and it has a gigantic amount of bids, far more than any of Behemoth's plots, so you are either lying or making it far worse than it is.

Before SE put auto demo constantly on pause, there was ~~7 year and half to 8 years, even if there's 100 bids, there is no way you lost under both placard and under lottery both, I'm sorry.
