I think the best solution to this it's to support our beloved developers and Yoshi by purchasing items from the cash shop, everyone gets a $30 usd mount so hopefully they can buy new servers.

I know you're being ironic but I'm glad that the community has finally stopped parroting this idiotic sentiment. I remember when people were defending MogStation en masse because it apparently funds "better servers".

They never will, because most people are harboring under the false logic of "If it isn't happening to all of us, then it is therefore not them (Square Enix), but somewhere on the path"... Whilst neglecting the fundamental fact that multiple IPs are servicing the DC, so outages are usually aren't DC-wide, and the fact is that they just generally can't be bothered maintaining and servicing their infrastructure.

Square Enix doesn't have an excuse, They make hand over fist in sub money you can afford servers.

Agreed. We in the Final Fantasy XIV Movement (yes, this is a movement) play this game to fight against Blizzard. We all came here because we hate WoW, so no matter what happens, FFXIV will always be better. There is literally NOTHING that Square Enix can do. Literally every online game has this problem, and we like that. At least Yoshida-sama (praise be upon him) isn’t like Bobby “Cosby Suite” Kotick. We in the FFXIV Movement stand with Yoshida-sama. Arigato sensei!

They really do need to close Dynamis, Fuse them into Primal. I'm on Dynamis / Halicarnassus it's dead. These servers literally only exist for Housing . . That's it. Nothing sells, The stuff that does is to DC hoppers who use third party apps to find cheap prices which Hali is forced to do cause nobody has money here / frugal purchases. If you aren't selling at a 50% discount of other servers it generally does not sell unless it's a highly used item like Shaaloni coke.

Take the machines being used for Dynamis and put them to work on Aether, Crystal & Primal it is literally a waste to keep them open for clowns that log in once a month for houses. 90% of the houses on hali i've never ONCE seen the owner, House is barren, Same owner for 1 year and almost all of them have meme names like House One, Those houses need to be reportable and once investigated then have it seized. People want houses they'll root out the bots after a report threshhold an admin manually checks for player activity on the house, guarantee it's all owned by one dude who just wants a ward to themselves nothing of value would be lost.

TLDR; Aside from a very minor number of actual players people wouldn't be impacted by housing going poof from hali atleast. Idk bout the other worlds but that is 100% what's going on in Hali . . Waste of server space that could be used for an active DC. I'm literally only on Dynamis cause prior to DT they literally forced you to go there. No other NA server would allow you to make a new character. I make new characters for EVERY expansion and cannibalize what's left on the old one after i get caught up.

I'm thoroughly convinced that all the connection issue are being caused by people using degenerate 3rd party plugins and there is no way you can disprove my Schizo-theory (real) without exposing yourself as a cheater who breaks the ToS.
