I haven’t dedicated myself to FL in a long long time but i do enjoy the new mode.

After playing all 4 maps with the new patch... We went from 2/3 good maps (Onsal, Seal), to 2/4.

    Shatter is Shatter...

Secure 2.0 - (SOLO) 1) The map feels slightly too big; 2) Team just travels from one side node to the opposite quite often without a fight; 3) 3rd party flanks/pinches I saw once. There dont seem to be enough paths/angles to do so. Except the few times at the lead teams' main node being pinched; 4) MID, nice area to fight, the few cover areas need slight widening, and I dunno about others, but I get hung up on the randomly placed mechs/small rocks, wondering why Im not moving.

If anyone makes a video guide for Borderlands or finds one, could they please post it here. No doubt Olivia will add to her guide, but currently I can't seem to develop any game sense for the damn thing, possibly in part because the teleporters give me motion sickness.

I'm not talking about a light party on voice shrieking at each other; an actual guide that explains the strategy and priorities.

Didn't get a chance to play the new mode as much as I'd have liked but I had a lot of fun when I did. Reminded me of Rival Wing's map more than the other 3 Frontlines so I'm glad for the diversity. Love how big the zone is and the different elevations and uneven terrain. The various scattered scenery items are nice, I enjoy using those things to my advantage. I did not notice any weather changes during my games, and while I know some people detest the weather in PvP I personally hope there is at least an occasional dust storm.

Teleporters offered some fun tactical plays, like going in with your squad to follow/ambush the other team. Teams seemed to naturally split into temporary, smaller groups to deal with capture points, which I liked too. Again making me think of Rival Wings. Mid itself was chaotic and enjoyable; I know I wasn't focusing on the PvE as much as I should have, because I was having too much fun trying to mess up other teams on the periphery. In my few games, it was a far better PvE/PvP mix than Shatter has been. My main class seems to have a strong showing in this mode too, especially on defense points, and I'm gonna take that win.

People still testing out their new class role abilities and learning the new mode probably added to a lot of the fun. I worry that as time goes on, the map will become less chaotic and skirmish-y and become more streamlined and stagnant in its 'meta'. More like modern Shatter I guess. Maybe inevitable, but I'm glad I got to enjoy these crazier games while it was still new. I hope the strengths of this mode stick around and keep things interesting into the future.

Good start but needs some refinement.

The teleporters are a good idea, but a little disorienting. I've played hundreds of matches on the original with about 2.5k matches across FL as a whole; after playing a bunch more on the new map I will have a better sense of space, but I could see less experienced players taking teleporters up getting a little lost when they arrive. Especially with how dark it is. It can be hard to find the ramps quickly, especially after a busy fight in mid... and you'll probably need to check your map mid fight to make sure you are going the right way. If it's going to stay this dark, some banners under team-coloured lights, or colouring the top of the ramps with the team colours, can help ease people into the map better.

The map is still plagued by people who only get a joy out of pushing people off of high places. They added some railings to the ramps up to the hill in the middle, but you still can push people off.
I had more than a few people already who are actively running around just to find people they can push off. I guess that's one way to play the game, but it doesn't benefit the team overall and definitely doesn't make it fun for the one who receives this.
Either they need to add railings to the entire central hill, or make it more difficult to use these skills that push others away (or remove them altogether).

Anyone know how many people are required to survive a stack marker? Guess it depends on role, but about eight people kindly rushed to my aid when I got one and we all died.

Looks like a case of the best strat being taking one for the team and leaping off the platform?

Think I'm only going to be logging on every other day. I prefer objective-based PvP to Battle Royale, but these PvE gimmicks are not my cuppa tea.

Note to devs: can you improve the light contrast? I know SE likes to use bad visual accessibility as a "mechanic," but I can't play this map 6pm-6am Eorzea Time even if I wanted to.

Honestly, if these people still got push off the cliff with all these protections in place, they have issue need to address themselves
First comes in to mind is tunnel vision and did not pay attention to the surrounding, in another term, lack of situation awareness.
Second, is lack of understanding other jobs and what they are aiming; especially seeing someone lonely and actively baiting, in another term, skill issue
There is no cure for these.

Overall I satisfy with this map and combines with role action
SE gave me back the solo kill ability to lonewolf; in which not possible at 6.1 version.
I had fun to takes enemy main outpost and solo kill the defender
I finally got my break from Horde Stampede style of nonsense
This is my current favorite, Secure > Shattered> Onsal Hakir > Seize
