7.2 MSQ opinions (spoiler obviously)

our enemy is an electrope-genius. and yet we just take that thing and let real sphene take it without checking it on hidden malicious traps?

i feel like sphene will put it on while trying to calm down the people in 7.3... and then either her memories will be manipulated heavily or something takes over her body.

like the 7.2 story though definitely a step up to 7.0 xD

Great job by Sphene's VA who has played three completely different characters with the same voice, who all actually feel distinct.

This is a patch I have mixed opinions on but not because of the actual story which I have to say is probably the best patch we’ve had since the front half of EW

My problem is the fact that I feel like this should have been 7.1’s patch. The setup for this story is really good and besides the 4th tour of solution 9 feels like it has a tight and defined direction. However this story basically had be resolved by the next patch. 7.3 is the end of DT functionally as they said they are returning to the prologue epilogue design so 7.4 has to start setting up 8.0. Calyx is the old head of preservation so if preservation is going to be a major antagonist going forward (unlikely as it’s too deeply tied to the 9th) then calyx can’t be stopped anytime soon, if preservation is going to be stopped soon then calyx has to be defeated next patch. Either way I feel like it’s a good setup to a plot that’s not going to have time to breath

Also props to the devs for finally showing off the WOL’s strength outside of purely instanced duties they get tricked into. Slamming them with all the energy of the everkeep just to have the WOL shrug it off and glare at calyx was great characterisation for them

The problem is 11’s are only really useful to overmeld the coat if you get the Khloe certificate coat, which is only an edge use in day one savage prog. Why give that out as MSQ rewards

thing is, this late, a majority have crafted gear or gear from dungeons, we have melded in the XII materia, and they release new gear... which we will again want XII's for. they clearly have no idea of how their own game works, or if they do, they just dont give a damn, which is evident by their job changes.

The bad guy's objective is the same if not similar to what happened with the Omicrons, Ea, and the Nibrun. I'm kind of disappointed we didn't get the option to let him know we've met people that obtained the immortality he was looking for and it didn't work out for them.

To be fair those societies were also impacted by Meteion

Would the Ea have regretted their decision to give up mortality if Meteion didn’t mess with their perception of the value of their existence due to the heat death of the universe (that she was accelerating)
