paid furniture, makes sure you keep subscribed or you will lose your house and the stuff you paid extra for.
lmao
I need those palm trees for my island!
Hah! Awesome. They are starting to test the waters even more what they can get away with
Player morale at an all time low, constant complaints about how much is being funneled to the cash shop while ingame rewards are slim and repetitive, sub numbers dropping at an unprecedented rate, game in a months-long content drought immediately following a controversial expansion release...
Hmm, let's get even more aggressive about monetization in our paid MMO with a monthly sub fee!
Jesus man, this is grim.
Whatever, I'm not super pressed about cash shop exclusive housing items. I think it sucks that they're something so seemingly basic like Palms and Cacti, but sure. Good luck to whomever buys them, I hope your sub never runs out and your house gets deleted and you don't resub in time to claim the items!
What really makes me laugh and is the most disappointing to me is the fact that the descriptions on them don't even match. Like c'mon brother, you guys can't even bother to try to make it look like it's not just phoned in cash slop?
Here’s our current arguments, remember to repost in any thread that criticizes the devs:
- Our sub doesn’t pay for the content, it is only a service fee for the servers. The content is paid for via the expansion and the cash shop. If we want new patch content, we gotta use the cash shop otherwise we won’t get any new content. If the next patch sucks, it’s entirely your fault for not using the cash shop. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
- It’s STILL better than WoW. Remember the $90 mount? And it will always be better than WoW Tokens. WoW sucks, ‘nuff said. (Find random things about WoW to criticize.)
- You don’t have to buy it. It’s 100% optional. You have no reason to complain.
- (Insert ad hominem here. Check poster’s profile for any incriminating evidence.)
This is far from the truth. BOTH were critically acclaimed. Let's not rewrite history. They also sold well by normal standards but not by SE's crazy high standards where they want FF to sell like Call of Duty.

I knew it'd all go downhill when I saw that champagne tower indoor furnishing for sale for $10 a few months ago.
Curious, were these released in China or Korea first?
Because I know one of the conditions of NA/JP/EU getting those items is that they become cash shop exclusive, as they are licensed back from the developers of the Chinese or Korean versions of the game.
