They can and do use the launcher home screen for that. An in-game pop-up would be obnoxious.

Best keeping it to the launcher rather than in-game.
If it's in-game then it becomes too invasive IMO. Having it on the launcher is not invasive

I would prefer not to have advertisements in game. Cash shop items are already advertised in lodestone announcements, patch notes, the launcher’s alerts, and also indirectly by seeing other players with them. In-game cash shop ads will just be another thing to ignore or disable, like the popup for the player guide as you log in.
However I’m curious about why you feel like it would be helpful for there to be ingame access to the store. Do you feel like you’d prefer this over accessing mogstation over an internet browser? I do hear about people having problems with mogstation but don’t know much about them myself since I’ve been lucky.

The whales can find the shop just fine without shoving it in everyone's faces even more.
How cooked are we that we have people actively asking for harder cash shop push?
Not quite. Dreamfitting lets you preview items, and nothing more. There is a single button that opens the online store in your browser, where you have to search for (again) whatever it is you're interested in, etc. etc.
Here's an even better idea. Raise the price of the subscription by $3 a month but everyone gets a "free" fantasia every 3 months subbed. Not only will it encourage people to sub longer but we're essentially making everyone buy a fantasia every 3 months.
No. popping the store up in game is a free-to-play/freemium.I recommend SE adding an in game store that opens like a pop up, like guildwars 2 did.
It would make it easier to know whats new on the mog station which might increase sales provided each item has enough info on it.
Also it would be useful if people could also resub & extend retainers while in the game using the same store.
I don't want to pay 3 more dollars to have to trash an item every 3 months, though...
