Right, I imagine platforms of relevance to you are the ones you use. If you don't use bluesky and FF14 creates a presence there, I am confident you'll be just fine.

But for beeing serious for 2 seconds you guys really think SE would be active on a site with lower traffic if they cant make one single message for the customers paying them on any existing media?
Not to be rude but i think that even copy paste is to much for SE nowdays. But back to my question why exactly would you need one more social media for it and why does it make people sad if not everyone wants this aswell ? Basicly either you are on the same social media or your not thats basic. Like you have people using discord and people use teamspeak same priciple.

I'm a little confused as to why people think BlueSky is an echo chamber and X isn't but regardless the benefit to FFXIV to also have a BlueSky account would be that they can reach people they wouldn't be able to reach otherwise.

I appreciate BlueSky because it has a transparent algorithm, allowing us to see and choose which algorithms curate our feed, instead of a mysterious one chosen by the company.

This is just in response to some of the arguments I've been seeing against Bluesky.

I love when people try to hide their disgusting and toxic bigotry by trying to gaslight people into thinking that being a sensitive and moral person is bad lol. LIke, just admit to yourself that you're a horrible person and let the rest of us be happy.

No idea. Given FF14 isn't exactly forthcoming with information via any platform, we're talking about an intern spending an extra five minutes/week max, copy-pasting the Twitter content to another platform. A simple service to current and potential players. How this is in any way controversial is beyond me.

My experience with bluesky is less people wanting their own echo chamber, and more people who are tired of the algorithmic feeds of meta and twitter and wanted a reprieve of the randos and bots showing up in the comments making assumptions and looking for a fight. Like some people in this thread for example :v

People who are too stupid to filter their feed will always find a reason to complain about social media platforms. BlueSky isn't perfect but it's very serviceable.

(Also why is my account still logged to the forums? LOL I haven't been subbed in a while)
