Bungie has more QA than this and they fired their QA team.

Their QA team is actually over 100 people. But considering they are located in Japan, I don't know to what extent, if any, this would involve reading the localized versions of it.

The quality of battle content in Dawntrail so far has ranged from ok to pretty good. The exploration zone is just battle content that lasts longer. I don't expect much in terms of story but I think the gameplay experience will probably be decent and add some much needed substance to the game.

I am concerned that it will be a case of "too little, too late" for a lot of players, and that a lot won't return until 8.0 if at all, though.

I can see that, but I feel like we will eventually reach a point where the "ok" battle content won't be able to carry anymore. For instance, they already muddied the waters with that in the new Chaotic.

This is what I'm really curious about. By the time it finally releases a good chunk of people will have simply moved on. Speaking anecdotally, several friends and discords I'm in have already expressed losing interest even in the content they were once excited about because of that. There comes a point where even good content will suffer because people just stopped caring after it took over a year of nothing.
