Ok so let me get this right, You Whine about lack of Content... Then you Whine about the content given because its not what you deem necessary; When are you going to get it through your skulls SE is designing for the masses not for the few ppl that want specific content. The developer has already said when and where the content with the new battle system is coming and why it is being split up and developed the way it is. Plain and simple if the New End Game Dungeon, Companies and battle system blows when it is fully released in May, then complain but until then just shut up please

I'm sorry, but that is all I see in this post. Want to influence change? Want to be constructive? Create a poll on whether or not SE should fore-go seasonal events until substantial changes are made. Make a suggestion thread that allows people to /sign IF the agree to you.

I personally wish they'd stop making them until the game is fixed. 60% of our new content in the game has now been these pointless holiday events. It just feels like they're focussing too much on piddle-content that is easy so they can get content points with the players. Unfortunately they don't *count* for anything at this point in time as far as I'm concerned. Holiday events are things that developers make when there's nothing to do in downtime, for silly style points, and they don't feel like they affect release of any other component of the game. Now is not the time to be releasing holiday event after holiday event while the spell animations look like they do and the areas of real content are what they are.

Developmental points earned for:
Starlight celebration: 0
Valentione's day: 0
Heavensturn: 0
1-shot Fetch quests: 0

Time those took to create could have developed one solid, permanent area of content of value IMO. Feels like they're wasting their time and effort on so many things that don't matter in order because they're quick and easy when that's not what the game needs.

I think they should stop developing holiday events and quests with no goal-oriented ends until they develop content that does.

You have NO idea what the division of content is. Just be cause he mentions that the holiday event is in the larger first half of the update does NOT imply that is all that it is. Obviously, the event has to come in the first have or it would be too late and wasted content.

Stop making assumptions and quit the pointless speculation. Wait for the patch and then complain if it isn't how you like it.

The holiday Events are designed and developed by the Community Team, not the Combat/Battle Team, Or the lead designer team. Or the Quest/story team.

The only team that assists the Community team is the asset creation team who build in game models and graphical assets.

Do not act like an event creation is wasting the time of the combat team because it isn't.

I don't personally think it's a waste of time at all. I've always greatly enjoyed holiday events in MMO's, it really is fun and in a lot of cases has in the past brought friends back to the game for a short time to take part in the events. Besides, they don't have to spend that much time developing it. It's not like it's a bunch of content.

Sadly, no. I will not be egg hunting this year in XIV.
I've played this game more than half the people in this thread combined, and they resort to calling me a troll. Laughable. You all petition for poor direction and choice of image. The gaming community looks at this update, shakes their heads and says you all will never learn.
