You don't charge limit break while dead, and in this meta your LB is absolutely critical to winning matches. The less you die, the more opportunities you have to use your LB (preferably alongside your party members who are also using LB) and the more opportunities you will have to turn your games around...or at least kill the AST.

Score cards at the end are kind of important. The most important metrics imo are kills/assists, deaths, and damage/heal done (in that order). You should be aiming to have 100% kill participation (the total of your kills and assists should equal the number of kills your team secured) while having 0 deaths (if you do die, its because you were the last man standing on the crystal in overtime).
Ok, so there is just a tiny bit more to it than 'don't die' if your position is all to avoid death. A range spamming 'push the crystal' at another range and then you see how impressive it is that they did so much damage and took so little back just to see that they spent 7 seconds pushing the crystal. What a contribution.
