housing demolition should be 5 months just like the patch timings since we barely get any content that lasts that long

This, please. But its pretty blatantly set to "rent" to free some houses up for new players and keep subs going.
Honestly dont get why they cant just add more districts in. Didnt they just improve their servers or something

The issue is wards are active constantly even if no one else is actually in them. Which has a massive drag on bandwith. Even with top of the line server stability, they'd still run into the same problem because there's only so much that can be loaded all at once in perpetuity like that. This is why pretty much every other MMO or F2P game that offers any sort of housing opted for instances. It's significantly less strain on the servers. Unfortunately, when the devs implemented housing, it was never intended to be for players but FCs. They've since clung to ward concept despite it's failures both out of sunken cost and sheer stubbornness for a design they prefer.

i wish i could dude... like your 100% correct i SHOULD let go but its difficult when you've been here since 1.0 and you like the game at its core but the flaws are glaringly obvious. to me, 7.0 being this "big new adventure" should've been a complete rewrite of the tome system (scrap it) and add horizonal gear progression ala XI but alas none of it ever came to be.... neither did that promised "addon support" from before ARR launched

i log in everyday waiting for Ana de Armas to send me a tell inviting me to run some roulettes. I don't intend to stop until it happens.
hope is the first step on the road to disappointment
It used to be my house but demo is turned off for the NA worlds and I'm free now. I've kept a running sub since like the start of ShB I kinda like the lack of the mental energy I had invested into the game and actually playing other new games like Metaphor to take my mind off IRL issues is nice.

Good question, sir
What is holding my interest is high-end duties like savage/ultimate and hoping that the next field operation and relic grind will be good lmao
Unreal trials are cool sometimes too, but i wish the devs could do a faster boss rotation or something... like, 2 months of each boss even if they have to reuse the previous Unreal fights, which should be easy 'cuz they already exist. Byakko > some old unreal > Suzaku > old unreal again > etc.. And not to mention it's very slow to get all the rewards. Many mounts, glamor pieces, etc. exist already.
And from time to time i farm the most recent extreme trials for the mount, but the drop rates are so low initially that i want to kms heheh
The thing is, it's stale not because they're reworking things, on the contrary, they're reworking close to nothing save for features that barely get expanded upon, or worse, they're making things even more bland, which is a huge reason for people's discontent right now. If they strayed from their literal same copy pasta formula every patch/expansion it might keep things fresh at least a little bit.I promised myself this would be my last expansion completing Savage with my friends. Once we finish all DT Savage tiers, I will only be around when new patches drop, and that's pretty much it. I've been playing since 1.0 launch, and I just don't enjoy the game the way I used to, part of it is because of how long I've been playing, everything eventually becomes repetitive no matter how much they rework things. I also have a house, but once Im done raiding I think I'm just gonna let that go too. Never liked how housing was implemented and I don't agree with needing to log in to not lose yours.
At this point, habit more than anything. I've played since 3.3, 14 instantly became my favorite game ever after I finished 3.0. I didn't unsub until Abyssos savage made me ragequit in 6.2. The decimation of job design was already tilting me in that direction and the tedium of p7s and p8s broke the camel's back. I resubbed in 6.3 for MSQ and raid and unsubbed a month later, rinse and repeat for .4 and .5.
I played through DT at launch and it marginally improved fight design and everything else got substantially worse. Resubbed for 7.1 out of habit, odds are I'll unsub again in a month and come back for 7.2. I don't think I'll ever care as much about 14 as I did years ago. At this point Yoshi P has almost completely exhausted all goodwill he's build up as far as I'm concerned. Unless they massively shake up the formula and get with the times, 8.0 is very probably the first expansion I won't bother coming back for. Unironically, I'm way more excited for what WoW has in store and that was downright unthinkable two and a half years ago.

nothing, just keep sub running like part of modern life, unless they do something really piss me off, like how i keep PS+ sub for years even rarely play online game, or spotifiy sub, or netf..... sorry i unsub netflix long time ago because they keep feeding me with trash movie
