well hidli questline isn't really on the same LV because you and him are both important in short have you ever played Zelda Majora's mask? if not well just go see a playthrough and then the credit you will notice that the main character(us) inst the main character of the game and I say many many similarities in dawntrail showing us that in this expension we are seeing a story as a side character and some player hate that not gonna lie I loved that felt like when I was being seen it was more of a menace xx)

i enjoy the story even with the poor writing because not gonna lie I got a bit tired to be the focus like overly the main focus xx) but those are personal opinion.

is it perfect nope but it is hard to do such and I think they did decently enough

I've been doing a huge amount of moaning about XIV recently.
But I still loved Wuk Lamat! And the English voice-over.
The problem is the impossibly heavy lifting they left her character doing on its own. And then wouldn't let the character do much of that either.


But the character itself? What they did let her do?

Please, is there no-one else who liked Wuk Lamat?

(I've been pretty disappointed with the community and how it's received her entire character as opposed to her story and some of the scripting.)

For me personally if they give up on Wuk, and don't find a way to develop her, well then I'll be defeated.

It's great that u like her and all. And I've no intention of taking that away from u. But imo. They should just get rid of her, rewriting her to make me like her is more obnoxious than just accepting nobody likes her. And I be real. Stop letting the va off with excuses. She's not a good va. She has barley any experience in the industry. They have so many good va in ew and then she is honestly a poor fit for the game. Replacing her is step 1, In My opinion ofcourse

I think some are also upset because she is the main character and you are watching thing on the side too for me I enjoyed her yes some moment I was like eh?

Whenever I see someone say this I have to wonder ... are you just not playing a lot of JRPG or you're just wanting to gasliting people with the main character syndrome?

First, the PC not being the main character of a story is hardly something new or even uncommon in JRPG. I would even go as far as saying it's rather a common trope where the MC acts as a camera man and does little else to watch story unfold or at best, the MC is simply there to empowers the NPC rather than drive the story ... which I'm pretty sure what DT was aiming for. Hell, FF titles themselves have done that several times before, for exampl in FF12 Van is literally an NPC and you can safely remove him with minimum impact to the story. Second, rarely that's a problem when the overall story and those characters we're empowering are good written.

I don't think there is a complex reason behind the it. WL is crappy written character in a crappy written story. If I'm being upset, it's the same thing when I upset when I realized I paid money for a shit product. It's really not that deep.

Crappy this, shit that, you're not going to convince someone by barging into a thread you clearly aren't the intended audience for. Whether you're talking about Wuk Lamat as a character or something to do with her voice acting, people are neglecting to respect others' opinions, to say nothing of the witch hunt against her English voice actor. Twitter arguments are not the end of the world.
I like Wuk Lamat, and I'll hope at least some forum users have the maturity to respect that opinion within a post that was written for it.

So when people come into the complains thread to defending WL, they were invited? When you make a public statement on a public forum this is always gonna happen.
