wow OP.. yet another bad take.

PLAYERS tell you to watch the videos, SE does not. so.. if you are going to blame someone.. put the blame where it belongs, your fellow players.

no, videos are generally guides to help people with Savages.... and someone has to do them FIRST to even learn them.
they are generally recommended so you being carried, but if you are quick learner, you can get by without them.

not sure why you continue to play a game you obviously despise. you complain daily about pretty much -everything-

Not all mechanic like that but most of fights specially savage require at least watch guide or read it 2 to 3 times

Design mechanic around that people can figure out mechanic instead of videos and guides online is a way better move that devs didn't take it yet with savage.

When fun fights require to watch guide it is not fun at all
Everyone can figure out savage with enough effort and time but the majority of gamers these days are just lazy. Figuring stuff out used to be fun to gamers but not anymore, it doesn't bring in the dopamine fast enough for gamers in this modern day.

However, there is another way to do it and that's to watch the video and note down any information that you'll actually need. In most cases, you probably only need what pertains specifically to your role or to the most difficult mechanics.

For example, if the boss does an "out" AoE and then an "in" AoE, there's obviously no point in noting that down. It's kinda basic stuff in this game. But if there is a sequence of events or debuffs maybe you'll find yourself needing to note it down.

How I would store said notes is in a /echo macro that I can press to see my notes in the chatlog. I don't use this anymore, but I used to when I was very new to this content in Heavensward.

As for struggling with normal content, if it's on a DPS role their busy rotations can sometimes be quite distracting, especially during burst windows. Although I would say that ranged physical DPS are less so. If it's on a tank/healer, often it's that the snapshotting isn't understood or a mechanic was remembered, observed or realized too late. If you play a tank, you get to survive most mechanics anyway which can be nice.

However I can understand if you meant you actually have problems with memory or visualizing generally. In that case it's just gonna be harder.
I think you don't get the point but I also get what you mean but I will say this whatever the content I should not have to study a fight to clear it as most people said as someone that work 50/60 hours a week I can tell you I don't wanna study at all xx).

second is the game is now design with the fact guides are being done in less then a week so I do think it's a actual vicious circle of you get what I mean? if you don't that is fine too but ya just see it as someone else view maybe it often doesn't work with the work life they have?

do I think guides are bad nope not in the slightest do I think it is used in a toxic ways oh yes I do guides should always be option and never be forced or mandatory if you put all fight with random mech it would fix alots of things too

I will say this gamers nowdays value the reward at the end of a fight over the fight itself and memories made from the fight.

in my old days(put a back in my day memes xx)) we used to enjoy a fight and the memories the fun of it the laugh and everything else the reward from completing was the bonus

You don't have to study to clear a Savage fight. There are plenty of opportunities for blind prog, especially at the beginning of the tier. This tapers off later on and Savage has been out since July 30th.

The thing you do have to do to clear a Savage fight is practice. Even if you do watch a video or review a raid plan, you still need to train your muscle memory to go the right spot or make sure you know how to adjust your camera to look in the direction the mechanic trigger may be in, such as orbs on the sides of the arena on the first mechanic in M4S. The video taught me that they were there, but I had to get used to looking for them and then adjusting as necessary. So you don't have to study, but unless you're already an experienced raider, you're probably not going to clear the fight in a handful of hours whether you use a guide or not. It takes practice and repetition and some people don't want to do that or don't have time. That's perfectly fine, because it's optional content.

This is a PF issue, not a fight issue. You can always create a static or put up PFs yourself that don't require a guide to join

toxic people getting angry and attack me personally for a request to make things better lol.. classic

for people who tell us to go find a blind prog.. but we can't find a normal group that would stay after 4th attempt and you want them to stick for blind prog?

filling fights with gimmick mechanics that you must have patient people or just watch a guide.

for those who says it is people issue not the game.. so why you enforce it? make it harder to left party in middle of prog.. penalty or something..

game have the tools but it refuses to use them so that's why it is enforcing such a behavior that people hate progging for

So what exactly do you want the game to do?

I think that player just prefer the gameplay part rather than the solving part
