It's wild how indifferent I feel after DT for the first time in 11 years.

I've played since the beta of ARR on PS3 back in 2013. I've loved this game for over a decade and while not every patch/expansion was a total win for me, I was always excited for the next content drop and to continue playing.

What's sad for me is that after Dawntrail, I don't feel excitement or discouragement. I am completely INDIFFERENT, and I think that's worse. I truly feel nothing anymore. No desire to login (I do because I have a house), no real care about what comes next, I am just really in this limbo of nothing.

I should be excited about the next arc of what is to come, but nope. And to be frank, Dawntrail and ARR don't feel anything alike. While ARR set the stage for a whole saga, DT feels like it was a really long side quest or detour vs. the foundation for another 10-year arc.

Nothing lasts forever. It’s probably a cue to move on to something else, as life is too short to spend it on something that makes you feel nothing instead of all new experiences out there, still waiting for you.

Im kinda in the same boat. I just login to reset the timer on my house and get my weapon from M4. I'm just waiting for 7.1 to drop. I've always liked Alliance raids, so if it doesn't turn things around to an appreciable degree I'm just gonna dip out for the rest of the expansion and reevaluate in 8.0. I'll miss my medium Shiro house, but I don't really use it that much anyways.

MSQ is meh and will probably continue to be so long as we're chained to Tural, not much faith for future job changes (or future jobs). No real desire to pursue raids because all the jobs I loved pre-DT feel kinda bad now.

And worst of all, the parasite in my brain is whispering about WoW to me again...

Nothing has changed in spite of promises. I'm also burnt out of what was already bland before to a point where it's not even giving me motivation to run things anymore.

And I didn't hate the msq like most. Msq isn't the problem for endgame.

I also don't appreciate the usual trite comments about "why don't you just leave then". Don't worry, I'd have left long ago if I wasn't having fun with absolutely nothing at all. I wouldn't be complaining about a decline on those forums, I'd just be gone.

When peoples go from anger to apathy, that when game starts to has real troubles. Mao curious though as to how many peoples feel this way. Mao has no idea if this big problem or little problem.

I feel you. The overwhelming sensation the MSQ gave me was "I just don't care about any of this." I raid and I've been leveling alt jobs but Dawntrail has definitely put a damper on my excitement.

I've burnt out on this expansion quicker than the others for sure. The 4 month+ time between patches feels like an eternity. A single savage tier lasting 8 months just feels.... bad lol.

They've hyped up so much content for this expansion, hopefully the exploration zone and cosmic exploration give us some enjoyable long term grinds to do with other players.
