Lol.. I'm just going to point out that having an 'alt' is completely useless in a game like this.

'Alts' are where people make another character to play a different class, or do something different than their main character (not going to use the word 'experience' because I don't want to sound pretentious). In this case, the other reason you would make another character would be to look at a different race/gender/etc..

In Final Fantasy XIV one character can do anything except join multiple Grand Companies.. but then again why would you want to? I'm glad that even though your character can do anything, there are some things that create uniqueness.
I am sorry but you are completely wrong, everyone is so fixated on this "Your character can do everything, why would you want more?", not everyone wants to do everything on 1 character, be the same character all the time, not all characters can experience everything, nothing about it is "uniqueness" because you dont have your own story, you follow 1 of 3 paths, there are those who like to play all.

Now can my character hop to different server in an instance? Nope, I have a character on Ragnarok I sometimes play, prior to merge I have one on Istory that I got 50 and played time to time, got to experience different things with different people.

So why dont ya'll just get your heads out of your ass and realise, hey if you dont want more than one, then dont create more than one! WOW IS IT THAT SIMPLE DERP?!

Dont ruin it for other people.

Not to mention, im sure some of you want this game to succeed right? You love this game, surely you want more players and so that SE gets more money and that game lives on, why would you say no to something that has potentially turned away plenty of people with its confusing payment system.

It mind boggles me, I think deep down some people just think that SE isnt a business and doesnt want to make money and that the game will survive with just a few people, so they tell everyone to GTFO.
