But are we surprised tho. Its always like this with agenda hoppers sadly.I said it a few pages back and I'll say it again. The dude is driven by personal agenda and nothing else. Its within everyone's best interest to ignore and just continue the discussion without him. Dude even changed one of his tags in response to one I placed a while ago.
You open the door theres nothing in sight. You close the door wondering whats in sight. But lets be honest its probably gonna just let you down.
Honestly I would support that. Let the boi be happy. Regardless with who. There is definitely an element that predates her VA being controversial on twitter. Graha’s VA is gay and that never comes up in conversation (hell almost anyone with a male WOL thinks graha is gay). But wuk lamat’s VA was almost immediately attacked for being trans when she was revealed (this goes as far back as people not liking her performance in 6.55 for whatever reasons). This has only gotten worse with the problems of DT’s writing around wuk which with a few exceptions (SPHEEEEEEENE) aren’t really the VA’s fault, yet she cops the brunt of the criticism for both wuk’s controversial story design and then random people come in and sling some transphobia
Dawntrail is what I imagine the entire MSQ as a healer-main.
POV: You realise that the PR guy does PR talk. From the article:
"While Dawntrail is a largely beloved expansion,"
Is it?? Is it really a largely beloved expansion? Even Yoshi has said it's been received with "Mixed reviews". The writer clearly has not done their research.
Edited to add once I finished reading the article:
Fully agree with the rest however, personal attacks are not OK. Critiquing the story, gameplay, graphics updates etc. is fair and honestly helpful if we want things to get better. Just be kind and don't direct hate/threats etc. towards anyone personally is what he's saying. Shouldn't really even have had to be said.
Genuine question: Have any of you ever heard of the term "DARVO"? It's an acronym describing how an abuser shifts blame from themselves to their victim. Sometimes they make up something the victim did, but sometimes they use an instance of the victim lashing out or saying something rude about them. I'm no psychologist but NGL, a lot of the comments I've seen in this thread fit the letters pretty well (and harassment campaigns are a type of abuse).
Deny - Claiming the harassment is either nonexistent or exaggerated
Attack - Questioning the reliability of both Sena and anyone who defends her (including Yoshi-P)
Reverse Victim and Offender - Claiming she was the one who started it by being "unprofessional"
A) psychologists themselves need multiple one on one sessions with someone before they can diagnose. It's always a case by case thing.Genuine question: Have any of you ever heard of the term "DARVO"? B) everything you say can also be applied to Sena herself. But this point is mute due to the point above.
I saw that this thread popped off once again, finally decided to have a look and see what else is being said since I last responded, and am now just genuinely baffled by the current ongoing conversation.
This is going to be a loooooooong two years.
Dawntrail did you dirty girl, it did you dirty.
The picture of the shirt was tweeted in August. The harassment started shortly after she announced her role in January.
Dunno why you people bring this twitter drama to the forums and making this person known. I have nothing against this VA as I didn't know who they were but being a public figure then they shoulda kept quiet instead of inciting drama its unprofessional. The price of fame is that you become a target of the good and bad from the public.
I hope SE doesn't rehire this VA as the drama will reflect badly on their brand and SE shouldn't get involved in America's identity politics it's a cesspool of drama and hate.
I wasn't aware of the drama back then so I can't say truthfully what was said back then. Although considering the world we live in now. People instantly look up everything about a celebrity to see if they hold similar values or not. If they find one mistake, they crucify the individual for it. I fully disagree with that but once she's made multiple bad decisions and refuses to hold herself accountable, then I will gladly join in.
The shirt is just the most recent convo. My guess is people were already pissed at her back then due to the Brigitte va comment.
Some of you are the problem. Someone's immaturity does not mean they deserve death threats in return. Easy.
