some people are unfortunately so lost in the maze they take any criticism of the game as a personal attack against themselves because they feel if the game is criticized it means their many hours in the game were worth nothing.
Item syncing is pure ass too. 80% of the time I que for expert rolo as a tank I get alexander and leave instantly because of that trash item synced dumpsterfire.
Option 1. All jobs should be similar to MNK or RDM. These jobs get their core actions by 50 and at 60 already play mostly as they would at max level, with 70 rounding whatever's left. RDM keeps getting extensions to their combo afterwards but MNK mostly gets upgrades that don't change the play style that much until they get replies at 92+.
Honestly, personally, I would be okay if synched down means getting a debuff that caps your damage per GCD, if it meant I could at least keep using all my skills and play with my full rotation.
Except hunt trains are more difficult to get into compared to dropping into a roulette, considering you have to get into a LS first, and you have to wait for one to happen to join up. Not exactly a good replacement for a duty finder dungeon if you ask me, even if tomes/hour ratio is better during a hunt train.
RIP Viper 28/06/2024 - 30/07/2024. It was a fun month.
Level sync absolutely needs fixing. It was a main selling point of the game early on and it feels like it's gone to the way side more and more with each passing patch.
I'd love to play Crystal Tower as it was originally designed once more, not like this run through, hit everything like a training dummy, then run out version.
Me too. When someone said in the Glasya Labolas fight that there was a phase you had to jump around on the platforms, my mind was blown. That fight (and Syrcus) has been steamrolled for as long as I can remember. Maybe if they fix level sync people would stop leaving CT raids since they wouldn't be as braindead.Level sync absolutely needs fixing. It's one of the worst aspects of this game easily. You to level 100 only to get synced down to level 17 and have the majority of your abilities taken away. Meanwhile, in a game like Wow or Guild Wars 2, I get to keep my kit. It's just piss poor game design meeting piss poor imagination. It's not hard to grasp that losing what you gained isn't fun. Coupled with the fact that content is so boringly easy when you sync down. It's a joke.
But here we are. At least I don't have to participate in it. I can just do 100 content and hunts. But it's still stupid.
"You haven't proven that it is safe, you've (only) proved that you can't figure out how it's dangerous."
It's because of their design of having any kind of competition / people feeling bad for having worse gear than other players rooted out and making everyone the same, is my guess.
That's why the gearing system and stats system is so babyshoes compared to other MMO's
THat's why the jobs are so similar to each other as well
They are AFRAID of making anything new, because they are afraid of being disliked. But by doing nothing, they are garnering dislike more, by the moment.
The most sensible solution would be to sync you down to the min ilvl and let you keep your full kit.
You can gain poetics through hunt-trains and engaging in content where level sync is irrelevant like BLU.You are having a laugh right?
The game revolves around a vertical progression system, where tomestones > gear > raiding. Roulettes are the primary source of tomestone, as well as XP, currency, and all sorts of things. It's literally the most common form of completed content in the game and your answer to a legitimate issue is 'well just don't play that part because someone else will ensure I still get a queue'? It's a funny joke for sure, but I'm not convinced you are joking.
You can gain current cap tomestones with expert / hard queueing level 100 dungeons of your choice / extremes/savages/etc
You can gain exp by always hard queueing the highest on-level dungeon for your job.
You can unsync basically anything not Ultimates / Criterion / field operations / deep dungeons for their rewards.
While it's not the most efficient, he is right, far from a joke. You can choose to effectively never engage with level sync to make vertical progression if you so choose. I know several people who only queue Expert & always make groups of 4 for the 'limited leveling roulette' option to make sure they're always enjoying the vast majority of their kit & ignore basically every other roulette because they dislike the level sync.
The cold truth is that they're never going to change the level sync function; if you don't like it, live the level sync free life like others have chosen. You'll thank yourself later if level syncing is that annoying to you.
