Most of AST's button bloat comes from the card spells, and I will tell you right now that the current iterations of the cards are next-to-worthless. The job had enough 'press this to instantly heal your entire party for 1000 potency' buttons as is, no need to have 3 different buttons to increase them by 10% every 2 minutes.

SCH's kit isn't that bad, all the fairy stuff feels well enough to use and a lot of its 'utility' spells are just augments for the shields. Probably the class most desperate for more robust DPS considering you can guarantee crit shields on your entire party every minute.

WHM's utility isn't awful, but its raw healing kit could definitely use a trim. How many oGCD heals and regens does a single class need before you can just start letting ChatGPT play the game for you?
SGE is probably the perfect example of copying someone else’s homework without really understanding why it’s done that way in the first place

Soteria is just a copy of fey union despite fey union only existing in the form it does because it was designed as a replacement for targetable controllable embraces from the HW era, whispering dawn was designed back when it was SCH’s literal only AOE healing besides succor and when you actually had to make decisions around if rouse whispering dawn over using Selene was a gain to save the WHM healing, physis is just a heal to be a heal. The short CD of sacred soil was designed because it was basically the only oGCD placeable mitigation in the game. Kerechole is a better regen than mitigator

SGE just copied SCH having no idea why SCH’s buttons exist in the form they do (and why some like union these days are also near redundant and need to be deleted not copied) and it leads to exact problem you described
