Oh man the part where the universe warps around her to make her an effective leader is so fucking true man. The one instance that really stuck to me cus its the 1st red flag i noticed is when she decided to start a party while the Hanu Hanu is literally on the verge of a famine cus "she wants them to cheer them up" and then the fact that EVERYONE agreed is baffling. THEN we found out that by fixing the party pinata that apparently the pinata is the aNSWER TO THEIR FAMINE PROBLEM. Like what? Apparently she solved the famine problem ACCIDENTALY just because she decided to have it fixed for the festival. Absolute brain dead. I was so baffled the entire time.

Not to mention the fact that they dont know their party pinata is literally an aether conduit is kinda another WTF moment. I understand if the hanu hanu is a big city with hundred of thousands of people where traditions can get lost easily but no! Its a tight knit community where everyone knows everyone and usually tight knit communities like that keep to their traditions for CENTURIES specially since its not been that long since the knowledge about the pinata/floaty being an aether conduit was common. The hrothgar boatmaker is not THAT old so I'd say it probably like 20 or maybe 40 yrs.

THE ENTIRE THING JUST RUBBED ME THE WRONG WAY when I was playing through it. It kinda made me feel like shit when I was nitpicking that while I was playing through it LOL.

It absolutely killed me that not only her random idea to throw a party cause the frogs looked sad was somehow the solution to famine, multiple people, including the carpenter KNEW that was the solution to famine and were gonna let them skip doing the festival this year anyway. You cannot convince me Wuk Evu was not waiting for those birds to drop dead so he could eat them. Only explanation.

Sad part is, just some short scene with him alone talking to himself with "He the old man was right, his kids did figure this out... cant believe the birds could keep their act though..." and all would be fine.

The whisdom head made this plan 3 years ago? more then enough for some trials, yet most stuff feels like "ehh idk, just do some chores and we'll see..." xD

True. One of the sidequests heavily imply that the Hanu are playing ignorant for people who are doing trials in their land. Since you were part of Wuk Lamat's trial they had to play dumb with you. But once you're no longer part of a trial they let their hands slip.


Problem is, that's in a sidequest and it could just be another writer cleaning up the garbage MSQ.... or if it was intentional it's very easy for a lot of players to miss.

I'm ambivalent on Stormblood, by the by. It was alright. Not amazing, not terrible either. It was clumsy, but there was an earnestness to a lot of it.

I don't know what in Jibbers Crabst name happened here.

Ishikawa wrote a bunch of patch content for Stormblood, which is where the expansion was saved IMO

If I was sitting around starving after a storm has demolished my house all so some royal brats can be tested on their farming strategies, I'd be so mad. I don't blame the giants in red for rebelling against this clown show. If Gulool Ja Ja had bothered raising his kids properly, I'd be able to eat right now.
