And it is still not balance
Just look at dps jobs that have support capabilities vs selfish DPS jobs
Support jobs are crushing it in DT
PCT > BLM
MNK + Reaper > SAM + VPR
BRD > MCH
Selfish dps jobs are just downgrade version of support jobs and rDPS and nDPS isn't a correct measure it is not counting utility to party.

SAM+VPR are higher in rDPS than either MNK or RPR and the difference between PCT and BLM is functionally negligibleAnd it is still not balance

What’s the point of having rDPS and aDPS if the selfish jobs have to be best at both
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
The issue is we are trying to balance a measurement unitr which is rDPS and nDPS which it doesn't count the utility aspect of the jobs
For example picto heals isn't counting regen of Reaper isn't counting and monk party healing increase isn't counting
And many more utilities that isn't counting for other jobs
If we try to use rDPS and nDPS it will not be accurate measurement there are other factors are not counting

Yes they should stop releasing new classes and seriously look at the current state of their combat. There's a lot of outdated systems, that honestly need to kick the bucket and revitalized with something new (cough Crit melds)

If your reasoning for “only SAM VPR or BLM can ever be top DPS” is PCT’s Shield, or MNK’s healing up or RPR’s regen I’d just give utility to the selfish jobs than deal with an unbreakable meta of them being too DPS because it’s players are lazy at pressing support buttonsThe issue is we are trying to balance a measurement unitr which is rDPS and nDPS which it doesn't count the utility aspect of the jobs

It would be funny to see black mage heal party lol
It will 100% destroy job identity being a selfish dps that uses forbiding magic to support party..
It is more fit to sacrifice party member to do 120s spell lol

Mao agrees! Mao would be oks with spell that requires Mao to eats party members, especially Bunnys (nots Fuzzy Cats though....thems for the pettings and the brushings of furs).
