I share your long-winded opinion and wish I could like your comment multiple times. That said, the sentiment that comes with this opinion, at least for me, is that of resignation. I could voice my displeasure with the way things currently stand, be they story or gameplay decisions (though certainly in not as loquacious a manner)... But it has been just 11 years for me, and I just don't think anything's changing. The only thing I can do is enjoy what I can.

You don't need to be afraid of making fun of how long it was: God knows I'm embarassed about it now and know I deserve it.I share your long-winded opinion and wish I could like your comment multiple times. Either way, I appreciate it. Though I will have to sit and consider what you said about the tone being that of resignation. I'm not happy to hear you share the opinion, I genuinely do hope people enjoy the game more than I have found myself doing. But perhaps you are right, it does not seem like anything is changing: All thats left is to enjoy the good happy bits left. Thank you.
When it used to be fun you and then it's not anymore.
Maybe it's time to let go and move on. Or perhaps take a break, consolidate content before coming back. It is okay to quit or take a break.
They're not going to change the formula that works and brings them money. It works for the majority but it will never be for everyone.
Hear me out, i know its quiet the stretch, but. If Kate really did help Sena get hired. She'll be the sole person for the down fall of FF14.
This is one of those...
It's a very bad thing, but also simultaneously a very good thing depending on how you look at it.
The predictability can be stale for people, but on the other hand that does result in a fairly rigid launch schedule.
Personally, I am of the mind that some systems should come earlier, e.g., bring the relic system out earlier, even if this is just an initial tomestone step or log step.
So the game as is, doesn't have a lot to offer to people who are playing several hours a day, but there could also be the fact that you are just done with the formula.
I am a raid logger so for me, I don't log in on X.1 and X.3 patches unless there's an ultimate I can fiddle with, my downtime after I finish the 4th floor is extensive, I log off for maybe 4 or 5 months after I get the glams or weapons I like. By the time the 4th month of downtime hits I'm already kind of missing the game so I log back in.
That being said, in my experience, there is a time when you are just done with a game and move on. If that's you then maybe it's time to find a new home.
Good ol’ doom posting. Tale as old as time. DT was not the most successful expansion but that was totally expected after two great expansions back to back. Gameplay wise the dungeons/trials/ and raid tier has been very fun and that’s what matters in the end.
Depends how you define success.
DT sure was the most successful expansion based on concurrent player counts.
SE board will be telling the team to keep doing more of the same.
