Here comes the FFXI Devout I bet all these weps took after 2010 to come out cause i played from 03-2010 all that shit was the same. Go some where else FFXI Second jebus,Hmmm I'm pretty sure my Twilight Scythe looks strikingly different from my Redemption. Likewise my Almace looks very different from my Mage Blade, just like my Rhongomiant looks quite different from my Gungnir.
As per your "best looking sword":
Gluttony sword was just a black sword with spikes.
I stand to the statement the Tales of series has the worst aesthetic of any running franchise. Bland anime moeblob trash.
I like the game. I play it all the time when I get the chance, just got a new over night job too. Like most people though I have been playing since the game out. Not once has there been a piece of gear/weapon for Disciple of Magic that has been average.
When you have people use purely long range casting spells, and weapons need to be used for melee attack, obviously someone on the developer team has never played a caster. you'll get blown away by a mobs powerful almost one shotting aoe to a warrior/Paladin. How the hell is the caster going to survive.
Anyway, it's been almost two years now and there's still no weapon or gear that is really good for DoM. Choosing a weapon for DoM right now is like picking a broken bottle or a dull 2 inch knife. And frankly I am not gonna sit here anymore and think the weapons are awesome when most times the weapons have crappy stats.
Well it works both ways.
I mean, why don't you leave? (And stay away)?
Aren't there enough trashy-looking games already? Almost all the upcoming Korean games have that over-the-top vomit-inducing style, and same with Guild Wars 2. At least you have somewhere else to go.
For people that liked the original style of FFXIV's art design, they don't have any other MMOs to go to, so it's kind of selfish.
Well you realise some people like the current game and that's why they complain; they don't want to see it turn into a game they no longer like anymore.
