well, the bow user is wearing darklight equip, which points toward those weapons being equipable by jobs as well. though a preview is a preview."New weapon recipes planned for patch 1.22 are for gladiator, pugilist, marauder, and lancer classes only. Weapons for other classes are planned for release sometime after patch 1.22a."
I'm reading this as exclusive to the class, and not the job. Which sorta makes sense. I know they mentioned class-specific gear coming out at some point.
I'm pretty sure this whole "class exclusive" thing is bonkers because the Bow is a harp/bow much like the BRD AF weapon... So only allowing ARC to use it would make absolutely no sense.
Unless they finally realized there is no particularly compelling reason to prevent us from using Darklight on classes... Or that's the new crafted gear sporting the same model? (Doubtful, but they did mention Darksteel... I'd laugh. Though I really hope we see legit. Darksteel armor, though I guess partially I don't hope that, because I'll be pissed if it's class only!)
No it's not? There's nothing even remotely harp-like about it. Just because it expands/contracts does not make it a harp.
I dunno man.
The way it folds looks a lot like the BRD AF which is already in-game. Also looks like there's strings there, just like the AF.
Then again those could be arrows as well, it's hard to tell.
It will be hard to make more fancy glowing weapons like these in the future - after such a small period of time...the gap between lvl 50 standard weapons and christmas-tree-ifrit-weps was too big.
to the post above: thats arrows, not strings lol
I don't think the "class-exclusive" means "battle class-exclusive."
If we look at what was in the last March producer letter it says "class-exclusive recipes" with the addendum "planned to be highly challenging synthesis.
I believe there's something SE is keeping secret about the "class-exclusive" part that has to do with DoH.1.22 -NEW-
High-level recipes -NEW-
Addition of class-exclusive high-level recipes * Planned to be highly challenging synthesis.
1.22 -NEW-
High-level recipe items -NEW-
Addition of new ingredients for high-level recipes -
Either that or battle classes will use some sort of Grand Company facility to craft them theirselves and SE will /memberinthpoopschute to DoHs.
No offense, but I'm pretty sure you're reading it the wrong way."New weapon recipes planned for patch 1.22 are for gladiator, pugilist, marauder, and lancer classes only. Weapons for other classes are planned for release sometime after patch 1.22a."
I'm reading this as exclusive to the class, and not the job. Which sorta makes sense. I know they mentioned class-specific gear coming out at some point.
It said that at the bottom as a disclaimer, NOT for the fact that the gear will be class exclusive, but to illustrate that in 1.22 the recipes that will be released are for gla, pug, mrd, and lnc only, and by "only" they mean it's a partial list of items.
Meaning the other classes will get their weapons in 1.22a.
Otherwise the wording would read "are exclusive to classes only"
Maybe because, unlike you, the rest of the player base doesn't have or want ALL OF ZE WEAPONS O EPEEN. Maybe because if you are a casual player and only have two jobs at lvl 50 you would like to have 3, 4, or even 5 different weapons each with their own set of unique stats to choose from, depending on the situation.Don't be stupid. More content is great, but there is no need to make new content obsolete so fast by adding more of the same content... I just hit 7/7 Ifrit's weapons yesterday, and I haven't even started on Moogle yet. We have Garuda coming out very soon, that is, if there are no delays which im sure there will be. Why would SE make another weapon set? Why not make an armor set for a change, or actually add some useful gear for crafters?
YUH THINK?
