hello my latinx amigxs i come asking a simple question: how well do you feel SE represented your culture? i am well aware of the fact that both central and south america are home to many different countries each with their own deep and rich histories and unique cultures and i am curious to know how well or if at all your culture was represented in dawntrail

Coming from a merchant family, I felt very well-represented. The only thing we ever think about or discuss is trading, so it really felt like they based the characters on us.

My friend from a reed farming nation feels similarly.

Visually speaking they did an oustanding job. I've been to some of the places where the game clearly takes inspiration and is clear they did their homework, particularly the zone of mountains. Now my praise ends here, everything else is just at best, superficial but at least is not offensive so there is that. I can only speak from SA and nothing tells me that i'm SA, not from the people or music.
The worst offender is music, is not "bad" by any means but it doesn't sell me one second that is supposed to be from here, except if i squint really, really hard, the theme of Urqopacha.

As an Alpaca, I also feel represented. My family and I regularly spit in the faces of annoying, naive women.

Native American here. Very disappointed at the lack of cowboys and indians being done. Least I still have my headdress.

10/10, as a Native American the fact that my culture was wiped off the face of the earth by a technologically superior civilization is very true to real life.

The rubber bullets really showed the 4kids aspect of the writing, like how Nami used the rubber knife on Usopp in Once Piece for the 4kids dub.

Also be careful on using Latinx/Latine. Kind of racist to take someone else's language and bend it for an ulterior motive. I raid with people from South America, and they don't take too kindly to that language, and they'll call out that stuff in their community. That term is mainly a USA-term.
