    A damageless gap closer makes no sense to have on most jobs that have it because we have sprint, and I feel like Sprint's cooldown needs to be 30 or 20 seconds but the duration remains the same OR it works more like PVP Sprint. Also the adding Additional Enmity effect is so lazily done because I was expecting ALL gap closers AND ALL AoE attacks, and the there is no Additional Enmity effect for Combo Bonus either... so a common Square-Enix L here... maybe in 14.x series they won't botch it up as badly as they did here... otherwise continue wearing the itchy sweaters known as "Trajectory" and "Shadow Stride" since they aren't even worth using still because I can't use them to target party members for mechanics that require me to stack with the party or move away from the boss in time because is sprint is on cooldown...

    They could’ve given it a different effect to replace the damage, such as a short stun that doesn’t work on bosses. Something like that would’ve had a bit of flavor, and allowed the old animation to stay without it being nonsensical. Shadowstride is boring.

    Worst part is that ONLY Shadowstride and Trajectory got the increased enmity effect... the 2 skills that are never going to get used for the most part...

    I don't care that the gap closers no longer have damage. I just dislike that DRK/GNB/DRG all have identical boring dashes now. Their gap closing animations should each have a unique flavor that suits their job like they did before and not just the same copy/pasted dash with different particle effects. That goes double for DRG. Why the hell would you take away a jump and replace it with a dash on the job whose entire identity is jumping?

    I think the solution is probably to just bring back Plunge and Rough Divide for balancing purposes, and reverse the animations for Shadowstride and Trajectory to turn them into zero damage gap extenders. That gives you both options.

    I'd dig that. It would return the mobility advantage to the thematically most mobile tanks (see Plunge as OG gap-closers and cutscene GNB for why) without sacrificing APM or requiring the odd Enmity gimmick.

    Seems to be a good compromise, i like it.
    (Also maybe having the ability to dash to a friendly with those "damageless dashes", but maybe that is too much to ask, i don't know)
