Oh wow...That's amazing. I thought this would be yet another thing swept under the rug...

I hope they also fix the intense contrast in certain areas. I haven't been in many areas yet but I'm noticing alot of 'spotlight' trends in lighting especially in areas like Labyrinth of the Ancients. The stairs/corridors are way too dark compared to the arena itself. I can't describe it as anything other than a spotlight I think.

There's also this strange twitching of eyebrows in gpose when applying any facial animation which looks honestly jarring. Sad, worried, etc has this twitchy look. I wish I knew how to make a gif, I'd upload it. I really wish this is a bug that they'd fix...

Anyone can check for me? A friend of mine tried on male viera and it was fine. I'm on Female Miqo Face 4...worried, sad, scoff, ponder, ouch, scared, taunt

I thought DLSS and/or FSR 2 being forced on in the benchmark was only just for the benchmark, but it appears there's no way to run the game natively anymore. There's no way to turn off either DLSS or FSR. I am disheartened by this since I strongly dislike DLSS and FSR. I think it makes games with them look worse and it adds ghosting artifacts to stuff like weapons, distant objects and trees. I really wish they could patch the game so we could run the game natively.

I am not sure what exactly happened that my WOL suddenly looks like he didn't sleep the last 6 months.
I am so sad - this makes him look so different.
I wish they would change the lighting or whatever it is causing this horror
I tried checking if make up is the problem but unfortunately there is nothing I can do to change it. It looks horrible in the character editor, even worse in the open world and I don't even wanna start about the cutscenes.

I feel like it is especially bad with mid-dark skin. Anyone else has this problem to an extend that ur character feels so different you don't know how to keep going?

I never changed him ever since male Viera are ingame. My whole ingame world circles around this bunboy and suddenly everything is changed and he doesn't feel like my WOL anymore.

I can't express how sad I am. I want my handsome bunboy back

Them using the Hyur eye textures for Roegadyn, Viera and Au Ra rather than remaking their previous unique eye textures.

I decided to make some comparisons, and I can infer that Female Au Ra and Female Viera (possibly also Male Viera looking similar to Male Hyur?) look similar to Female Hyur but the rest I think are more nuanced or have been edited. Generally, each race's eye texture here is mostly close to the original eyes save for the difference in the way the actual "colour ring" (for lack of a better term) around the iris looks or the bizarre decision of lowering the iris and/or pupil to give a death stare.

To me, the only glaringly different ones among these are Female/Male Hyur which now both have a notably terrifying death stare, Male Au Ra which has smaller pupils and super glowy eyes, and Female Au Ra and Female Roegadyn which have both been given larger pupils.

May add the other races to this picture in the near future.

Looking at this makes me see that some other female races have also lost their long lashes. I chose the eyes I did for my female Elezen specifically for the longer lashes. It now feels like choosing those eyes was pointless

I think it's mostly due to a rotation of the eyelashes, if you look at longer eyelashes from a low angle perspective, you can see the details that were there before (but even then they still have been edited)
