I'd love this solution personally. Abyssal Drain is pretty good under Rampart now so having it at 30s would be amazing.Just putting Abyssal Drain's cooldown to 30 seconds and deleting the shared cooldown with C&S is enough.
According to the fact that Abyssal Drain already gives 600MP, now the 1200MP loss per minute is fixed, we have (a little) better sustain and the job's gameplay is (a little) less boring.

Just an ugly thing I learned in an EX yesterday since I am used to weave Souleater for healing between Bloodspillers with old Delirium...
...if you start the Torcleaver combo and use Hard Slash, Syphon Strike, Souleater, Unleash or Stalwart Soul before finishing it, you reset the combo progress back to Scarlet Delirium even though you had the right amount of stacks left.
Our dollarstore Inner Release turned into a wish.com Gnashing Fang combo, except you can at least blow cartridges under Gnashing Fang and you cant spend Blood under Delirium.
Meanwhile Palachads over there flexing their Sepulchre combo that does not get interrupted by anything short the server dying having a new GCD optimisation for FoF.
If someone wants to help me... please tell me where the thought is that was put into DRK this expac.
I just saw that WAR has more damage then dark knight !!

Really good solution, AD could be under 30s with 2 stacks, they could also increase the healing potency a bit and the damage it does along with the 600 mp.
But not only that, Enhanced Unmend can be tied to lowering the cool down of AD. Making that move so much better, and replacing plunge with an actual better ogcd.
I genuinely don't think they did put any thought into it.Just an ugly thing I learned in an EX yesterday since I am used to weave Souleater for healing between Bloodspillers with old Delirium...

Drk got the laziest, most lack luster changes of all the tanks that had the most negative changes on it's gameplay.
Plunge and Blood weapon removed which means your 123 downtime spam feels much worse.
Blood weapon stacks reduced to 3 which hurts Drk's mana economy, a lazy animation change to bloodspiller spam instead of giving us actual new abilities, and the most lackluster 2 minute cooldown in the entire game that does not do anything for the job. Dark knight has Flood of Shadow, Shadowbringer, and now Disesteem. They are ALL the same ability. The only difference is that they have different potencies, and they put one on GCD.
So all in all. We lost Plunge, which helped make the job feel busy.
We lost Blood weapon, which further helped make the job feel busy and gave it some thematic flare with the weapon enhancement.
We Took a hit to our mana economy, which further makes the job feel slower
They took away the blood gauge cost from living shadow, which made the blood gauge the bloodspiller gauge.
And what did their favourite streamer approved tank lose? Nothing.
They just gave it 2 new ogcd's to make it the new damage tank. But it still retains the best utility in it's role. They even further leaned into it's ridiculous sustain.
All i can say is just stop playing Dark knight if you want things to get better.
Warrior's pickrate is already more than Paladin and Dark knight's combined right now.
Reduce invul recast and add ability to consume health to do damage
I mean dark knight is the worst tanky at the moment

Hello Yoshida, please increase the damage of Dark Knight compared to Warrior. Warrior has more defenses, better recovery and a stronger invulnerability ( happens more often ). This damage difference shouldn't be more than 3-4% but it should be there. Some actions like the Torcleaver combo and Disesteem do not hit hard enough compared to their visual effect. The melee mastery trait does not increase the damage of Quietus , Carve and Spit or Edge of Shadow, while the GNB trait increases literally everything to an absurd point.

I really do feel like Oblation should have been a pre-50 TBN, what's what it feels like as a skill to me.
Also yes - It's such a shame to me that Dark Knight has lost so much job identity since HW, it used to be the "fighting dirty" tank, ferocious but in a different way to Warrior. Now its basically Rune Knight and if we get that as a tank in the future what will Dark Knight be?
I agree I really don't love Delirium, honestly everything the team learnt about Sage could be really well applied to Dark Knight. Using a Eukrasia style mechanic for Dark Arts could work really well in my opinion.
I played Dark Knight all the way through HW and SB but once we got it's Shadowbringers iteration I really couldn't bring myself to play it anymore.
Brief Wishlist, given what we're stuck with by now:
- Roughly double our active MP generation.
- Have Carve and Spit and Abyssal Drain both heal for damage dealt.
- Reduce the cooldowns of Carve and Spit, Abyssal Drain, and Shadowbringer to 40s.
- Give Abyssal Drain and Carve and Spit a second shared charge.
- Allow Shadowbringer to consume 3000 MP, if at 60+% MP, to deal an additional (Edge's worth of) potency, but increase Shadowbringer's falloff slightly (such that the addition adds only a Flood's worth of potency). If that doesn't smoothly match up, buff Flood potency slightly in accordance. (This reduces action count by 2 per burst, but the MP gen and additional CnS and ShB per cycle more than makes up for it.)
- Trim potencies here and there as needed in compensation until DRK is tied for lead in aDPS+rDPS. Feel free also to remove the healing from Shadowed Vigil in compensation, as an ExCog effect is the least thoughtful or engaging means of healing possible.
- Have each new move unlocked by Scarlet Delirium progress its new combo and do not allow the combo to reset.
E.g., after activating Delirium...I want more than just those bare basic corrections to APM and healing agency, certainly, but by now I'll settle if need be....would all be permissible.
- Impalement -> Syphon Strike -> Comeuppance -> Torcleaver,
- Scarlet Delirium -> Impalement -> Souleater -> Torcleaver,
- etc.,
