Finished the MSQ - Feels bad, pushed to do evil [Spoilers inside]

So I finished the msq, The story was lackluster throughout the xPac but the ending just felt evil to me, the writers try and push their point of view that life should end no matter what, that the endless are not really alive, even though we see that they are, they can hear, feel and think, express emotion, be happy and sad, the WOL just committed a mass murder and we are suppose to feel ok with that?

This has forever tainted my view of the wol, my character is now evil.

From EW where we forgave a genocidal bird girl who killed who knows how many planets to DT where we become the mass murderer yourself what up square enix?

I don't remember the movies name or was it a video game(not talking about fallout obviously-Nik). But if you die and they make a copy of your brain and put in a robot. Are you still alive? The endless are similar. They lived their lives, they died and thus the circle of life is complete. Yet they are kept "alive" by a machine.

I don't see how telling someone "nope, you're not going to kill the entire multiverse just to keep your friends alive" is evil.

Ya, they are kept alive by a machine, would you go to a hospital and kill every person who is under life support for 20y plus? maybe you would, but that would still be murder.
My point is that they are all still alive, you cant tell me that the husband who waited for his wife there for hundreds of years and now reunited with her only to have them both killed were not a live.

So you are killing some people to save others? is this a trolly problem?
It's evil because the WOL would not go to garlamnd and kill all of the civilians just to stop Xeno, would they?

This is a story, they could have resolved this issue in a million different ways, they chose genocide.

Yeah I completely agree with you, I no longer see my character as the Warrior of Light, those people seemed happy and fulfilled, what the difference between the Warrior of Light killing them with a bomb committing mass murder or turning off their life?
Just because the writer subjectively think its immoral to live longer? then that's a crime worthy of death for them.

So If i am a viera that lore wise lives longer am I immoral? what If used magic to change my race to become longer lived? regained my youth that way? what if i am a super advanced AI that can hear, feel, think like any human like the living memories do? where do you draw the line between what is alive and not, I would argue they are plenty alive, and if they were just programs and code then why did the main characters feel so bad killing them?

Its nice because its all dressed up in anime and colorful light and we are portrayed as the good guys, but take a dam step back. WoL is a mass murderer with this act.

I have to sort of agree. While I may not have major issues with how this ended, it felt like a very light thing, one that comes way to easy - perhaps something that should have been explored in greater detail before such decision is made. I think most WoL we imagined to this date, would have faced <last challenge> with disadvantages rather than mindlessly forsaken existences that they not fully comprehend, just based on a notion that if it does not have Aether it is not alive... since well, Emet Selch made same argument "Your aether is thin, you are barely shades of those who once lived" but than again - it's just one of multitude of issues that are within this story. One other issues is the timeflow difference that suggests Zoraal Ja after the attack on Tuliyollal waited for around 20 years before Wuk Lamat comes to him for their revenge plot.
