dont worry judging by the previous primal weapon stats they will most likely be evasion/magic evasion +30 wind resistance +15 and additional effect wind damage. which will be complete shit unless they have like 20 more base damage than ifrits. so i wouldnt see many people having them anyway..... as much as i hope SE wises up on their stats for stuff they continue to prove they have no fucking clue now to make rare gear worth the time.
Was thinking about it for a second and I think I know what they could use as a gimmick for the Garuda weapons stat wise. Hopefully they don't take the same route as making melee/mage the only variety between them since they should prolly go about it like this. Garuda is about speed but speed doesn't just mean evasion it also means many other things like attacking, blocking and parrying so perhaps.
Marauder arm could have a +30 to parry
Gladiator could have a +30 to block rate
Lancer could have a +30 to Feint/Full Thrust activating even if you didn't miss an attack
Archer could have occasionaly fires 2 arrows or a very low delay.
PUG could have +30 evasion
CON could have a MATT 30 and 15 Wind potency
THM could have MATT 30 and occasionally decrease recast time of spells.
If they follow the concept of Garuda's speed then the top would prolly be a nice mix of traits to make them all useful in one way or another, it would enhance MRD/Glad/LNC/PUG ability to use their counter abilities, enhance CON's strength with wind magic and give THM the ability to recast their spells quicker.
Occasionally attacks 2-3 times or -delay (melee attacks and casting times) gogogo!
This game is not WoW; if you want WoW, go play WoW. If you get butthurt when people mention Final Fantasy XI, then shut up about WoW.As much as it might hurt you, and as much as someone else brings the balance issues up, FFXI had the jobs right. And, you know, this is a FF, and I don't see you guys complaining about people asking for WoW things. So please.
Also, it's not like this dev team is being true to the roots of the jobs anyway.
ifrit mage weapons already both have 30 matt so thats not happening, and they will most likely continue to follow the same formula they have been
The primal weapons seem to be SE's way of testing out new effects (glowing, animation, sound), so I suspect these will some sort sort of whooshy wind-aura floating around them when in active mode.
I really like their designs, from what you can see in the concept art PDF.
The bow seems to have retractable wings..do want.
