Or, the graphics are basically the same. Having two more strands of grass show isn't an update. We still have squared off fingers with no nails.
The graphics are the same with the brightness turned up.
I not sure about that statement, consider in r/FFXIV, a lot post about how their character were changed and ruined in DT, either got downvoted into oblivion or get told to stop complaining, then just accept it to move on.
Of course you are not seeing any of the complain, as those already downvoted, marked as spam.
Then, only the posts about how players are satisfied about their characters remain, are also the ones that show up in your FFXIV-related browsing.
May I ask, who this "our" you talking about?
Are you one of CS3 staff? Or you try to masquerading as CS3 staff?
The latter is a bannable offense, mind you.
And also, I sincerely hope that you are NOT trying to be parasocial with CS3 staff members.
Dissatisfied people are significantly more likely to vent their frustrations, compared to people happy with everything, that's just human nature.I not sure about that statement, consider in r/FFXIV, a lot post about how their character were changed and ruined in DT, either got downvoted into oblivion or get told to stop complaining, then just accept it to move on.

I assume that the majority of people are relatively happy with the slight changes brought by the graphical update.

I am always up for more customization, but i hope they don't revert any changes to my miqo'te
she looks so much better now.
Clearly talking about the general forum reading population, not about any DEVs.
The DEVs are JAPANESE. They will not waste their time frequenting random complaint threads in a forum that is catered to a foreign language.
IF (and I stress the IF here) we are lucky, there are community representatives that give them the occasional summary about how EN players feel. Ultra minor stuff like "I dislike my new lip shape" from a handful of dissatisfied individuals won't even make a blip on their radar, I'm afraid.
If there were a massive outcry, including among JP players, we might have a chance to change the DEV's minds (that would/has have happened during the Benchmark state though).
Not trying to shut anyone down but people need to be realistic in terms of what they can achieve with venting their frustrations on a forum.
Here's the thing though, there are numerous source has supported the claim that "JP forum users complaining about CS3/Dev ignored JP players and are active listening to NON-JP players."Clearly talking about the general forum reading population, not about any DEVs.

Which is safe to assume that there are FFXIV changes that is disliked by JP players but well-liked by Non-JP players.
From what I observe, it seems that having numerous androgynous hair and gear design MIGHT has somewhat upsetted the JP players, while it's was somewhat well received in Non-JP players.
It seems to me that Pictomancer Job gear gender disparity is more like CS3 attempt to appease the JP players base, as there is no JP player complained about Pictomancer Job gear gender disparityat all.
Oh absolutely.
It is a balancing act when you design one game for a global community.
I just don't think that the DEVs read random complaint threads in the "general English" section.
If you want to reach them... honestly, outside of the dedicated feedback forum, I have no idea how to ensure that they see anything from a normal player.
JP or otherwise, although I could imagine that it is more likely that some of them follow the JP forum, since it is their native language.
I don't think you understand statistics and psychology. In most "forums" whether in real physical life or digitally you will find both sides of the spectrum. Don't tell me the square enix lawyers don't pounce the forums when things are criticized. The forums are not "all angry people" as you're making it seem to be. Sometimes one side overtakes the other but that reflects the state of the product.
Not trying to sound condensing at all, but I highly dislike when people use statistics and psychology like you did; it's an attempt to discredit valid feedback.
