When they were going over job changes, there were some people in a chat I was in that thought the duration increases were stupid because no one uses them. Context matters there because they don't do Savage or Ultimate, so the content they do does not require it. However, many savage and ultimate raiders will tell you that defensive CD's are quite often used at that higher level, so they would have a different opinion.
I could be different from a lot of people, but I don't take anyone's opinion as gospel on face value. I think for all the content creators I watch, there have been takes I agree with, and other takes that I don't. For example, when it comes to tank perspective, I would look to see Xeno's opinion. He plays it at a very high level, so his insight is going to be useful to me to try and understand things I might not think of when I'm tanking. However, I wouldn't put much stock in his take on DPS. Having said that, that doesn't mean everything he says about tanking I automatically assume is correct just because he says so. I'm not naive enough to believe that people don't follow content creators opinions blindly, but I put that on those who do it instead of the content creator.
