Absolutely no more new races please

I disagree. I think they are still missing a few varieties in races or make a other sub race for existing races. We need a smaller male model (taller than lalafell but smaller than miqo etc ) (like female au'ra size) a plus size character would be good for some people like dulia-chai. If i had to pick a new race it would be either genomes or a shorter furry fox race which would be adorable.

Im wanting a new race (mainly aimed at males) thats taller than a lalafell but shorter than the rest. Like female au'ra size. Like alphinaud basically. Genome would fit that perfectly plus they look majestic and have monkey tails xD. Or a smaller furry fox race to be another beast type race but shorter for an opposite of hrothgars

I agree with the commenters saying they'd like to see Bumercians or a smaller stature race to go with Lalafells. A lot of work goes into making Lalafell sized gear so I wouldn't be against those assets having another use for a second race and it'd hopefully offer some nice variety for people who like playing smaller characters. But I'm not exactly in a rush to get them either and would rather they improve what we have first.

I think maybe having one more phys ranged job being the final job is further up on no longer adding stuff then races.
Could you imagine another 11 jobs in this game how the hell would the Devs even approach balancing that without making them basically the same as another job?

I think a good compromise would be to just expand the races we already have in simple ways that don't need you to remodel every armor piece in the game, like a whole new race would.
Stuff like having half-races. They could add it as a new option for the "clan" select in character creation, and it could have stuff like Hyur/Elezen hybrids with slightly bigger ears, a taller height range (same model, just a bit bigger) and extra skin color options for Duskwights.
A similar thing could be done with lalafel and au'ra too.
Maybe they could even add the choice to make a half viera with normal human ears. (still no hats though probably.)
Getting some of these either next expansion or the one after would probably be the best bet for when the playerbase just really wants some more character customization options.

I'm very much against the idea of new races.
I agree with those saying SE should expand on the already-existing characters... More race exclusive hairstyles, more individuality amongst the different races and more options in character customisation.

It's very simple, we can have both new races and no more limited races.

1. Make it so Hrothgar and Viera can use all hairstyles and hats.
2. Create new race that can wear hats and has access to most hairstyles.

SE can market it for their expansion and we can enjoy the new things. SE is no indie company they can afford to do this.

This company has more money than we can fathom. the only reason its not done is they dont care to spend the money on it.. Japan prefers to work a few people to death for max profits versus hiring on the team that is needed.

we could have 1 race or 50 races, and it would be the same problem.. look how many races other games have; wow, for instance, has never had to release male/female at separate times, and every one of its races can wear everything in game (yes besides the specific racial armor, for lore reasons only.)

Point is, dont search for things to blame for things not getting done when the company is right here, if you want a boogieman to blame then make it every game square pulls devs to make, so how about no more main series games if it takes the 14 team away from their current paying customers.
