I want to play my lion queen sooo badly, she looks so good!

That said, I'm really sad to see basically all of our feedback except a few minor ones about Hrothgar of both genders were ignored. And barely any of these points are new to begin with, mind you. They did nothing about the hairstyles, they did nothing about the claws being attached to the gear instead of the character as a feature with a toggle, they didn't give the guys (and gals) a toggle for the hunch despite there being Hrothgar walking upright in the trailer. (Not to mention they always managed to stand upright in many general emotes, like dances and stuff.) They didn't add anything to our very limited colour palettes, nor detach hair highlights from the body pattern. Adjusting the hairstyle might take time, idk, but the claws exist, the character creator option for special race specific features exist, Hrothgar in upright poses exist.. It would really not be a lot of effort. Of course there is always hope they fix this in the patches, but Hrothguys have been waiting for these things since Shadowbringers. Hard to believe they'll fix it now all of a sudden, especially after making the conscious decision to build an entirely new character category with the same issues.

I love how my soon to be character looks, but at the same time I hate to see all the things she's missing out on for no other apparent reason than being low priority or trying to cover up how bad the guys had it at release, by making the same crap all over again. It's sad.

I've realized I am just going to have to be rocking those False Nails you get from the Beast Tribes in Stormblood. I don't think the hrothgal gloves will go with my current glam.

If they don't work out: There are also the Claws you can get from the Gold Saucer (I think?), used them with my Hrothgar occasionally. They match a little bit better due to their animalistic nature.

Still sucks we need workarounds like this.

Are the shadows and lighting bugging out for anyone else when any but the first Fur Pattern option (tiger stripes) are chosen (even when not checked in the Fur Color selection)?

I didn't notice anything odd but I also failed to notice big visible seams the first time around, so I might have missed it. Can you maybe elaborate how exactly this appears for you? Then I can check.

It occurs on every character creator environment except the old style aetherial background. It's noticeable best in smallclothes, viewed from the back with light shining on the back. Just pick "Fur Pattern" and switch between the first option and any of the 4 others, you should immediately notice it. It's as if the "decal" of the fur pattern casts a shadow of itself.
It's hard to show in a still though.
