I'd want a fairly simple build system implemented. You'd still only have 6-ish abilities like you do now but you'd be able to choose between 2 or three options for them all (or maybe leave the "standard DPS skill" always in place), as well as being able to choose from 2 different LBs. This would not only add a little individuality to the jobs while also allowing the devs to more effectively divide CC and FL/RW by having some abilities clearly more effective for CC and some for FL/RW.
But yeah, other than that, I echo the desire for more long term reasons to keep playing. Just going by the Battle Pass alone, there's little reason to go beyond level 30 as the amount of received Trophy Crystals slows to a barely noticeable drip. More things to buy with any/all PvP currencies would be great but, failing that, some actual way to transfer/exchange currencies would be a nice touch. Obviously there shouldn't be a 1 to 1 trade so that you're actively encouraged to do the thing that givers you the specific currency you want but even a lopsided trade of something like Wolf Marks into Trophy Crystals, or both/either into Tomestones. This way even if there wasn't something specific in PvP you wanted to buy you could use PvP as a side road to what you do want.
Oh, and a bigger variety of maps for FL with a more frequent rotation. I know there's supposedly different objectives but, truthfully, they all basically play pretty much the same with only the Ice one a slight bit different. I actually quite enjoy FL but just wish I wasn't doing the (basically) exact same thing every time I queue in.
What I want?
Job gauges, skill/lb rework, +1 -3 skills per job, more trophy crystal items

Map changes, some skill/lb changes, more trophy crystal items,
Nothing aside from viper/picto till 7.1, then their kits are changed from the release version.
For changes, I'd hope for
- Rival Wings roulette
- Recuperate's potency scaling inversely with BH gain or not at all. I like the damage increase, but I find that increasing the healing is a tad much
- For AoE CC abilities, CC getting diminishing returns from the 6th affected target onwards
- The newest version of Shatter being thrown into the deepest pit of hell
For new stuff, I'd kill for a Blue Mage PvP mode. Could be something like a 1v1 with a pre-baked spell loadout like the TT open tournaments, a free-for-all match where you make your own customized loadout (with rarity limitations like TT decks so you don't just bring your regular PvE loadout with you), large scale PvP where you get spells from the beasties in the wild, anything would do.
Supposedly there was some brainstorming for a BLU Battle Royale mode where you would find random spells, which could probably be an even bigger clusterfuck than the average Frontline.For new stuff, I'd kill for a Blue Mage PvP mode. I would like it so when I enter frontlines players actually work together and not just sit like a tit in a trance on their mount wondering wtf they are doing there. Make dancer choose a partner anyone will do better than none at all.
Make it so I can make enormous mounts shrink as they block my view when moving round the map. Just mainly teamwork is all I would like so maybe add better incentives to win the match.
- That they keep the formula elaborated in 6.1 for crystalline conflict and continue building upon it as it's just great overall. I'd wish ranked popped more and for longer amounts of time, but I don't see how to do that in a game where the pool of players constantly queued into it is just not enough (unlike casual mode).
- Introducing the ability to play with a friend in CC, allowing duos to queue up for the casual mode with the caveat that they can only be matched against another duo, at least for now.
- Doing something about FLs I guess, not sure what though.
( or add that infamous blue mage battle royale on eurekan maps where you start naked and pick up random spells as you go... how about that for more exciting fields operations SE?)

Re-enable it for the free trial like they promised they would four years ago when they 'temporarily' disabled it.

I expect nothing, and somehow we'll get even less.
I kinda wish they would put the same effort releasing wolfmark rewards like they used to - and more trophy crystal sets. I think the latest Tactical sets were a big win, if only for the fact that they can be equipped by every job.
New CC maps are always appreciated, maybe finally a true CC roulette where maps change everytime you enter. An entirely new lighthearted mode would also be appreciated, maybe something like a beach volleyball 3vs3 or 6vs6 tekken ball style. It would suit the expansion theme quite well
