    Low level Combat gameplay and Job identity is HORRIBLE.

    Most Jobs feel trash to play in Low level content.
    No mater what job i play when im farming rulettes and i get something from ARR or even Heavensward im like 'aaaaaah Fuck'.

    Too much and i mean waaaaaaay too much Job identity and rotation gameplay are locked away from players on lower levels.
    The whole Low level Gameplay/Combat experience needs a serious Overhaul.

    Its literally one of the TOP reason why a new player Gives up on the game and leaves because the combat gameplay is Super Boring and not Engaging and Flashy at all on lower levels.

    Devs really think Players Enjoy this ? That Players in todays Age needs this ? WAKE UP damn it !

    Its freaking ridiculous that you need to play AAAALL the way till your in the level 70+ range just so your job start feeling good and enjoyable to play.

    Its my Number 1 Complaint in this game for a Long time and it does not seem that devs care at all about it.

    At this point People not Buying Story skips to Skip the Story.
    They buying it to jump to the Point where their Jobs actually feel good to play lol

    Sorry guys i had to take this off my chest. So many years and they just ignoring this issue.

    always wondered why the devs dont want to push something like swtor or gw2 has, several skills throughout all levels(not so much gw2) and in low level zones they lower your level but you get to keep all skills , adjusted properly ofc , but here if you go into a low level dungeon or fate ...you get 1,2 or 1,2,3 which is obnoxiously annoying.

    Why do they insist on giving things like movement tools (hells ingress) and self/party heals (arcane crest) at low levels instead of abilities used in the rotation?

    Well there are other ways to level.

    Sometimes that is the reason, but if you've watched enough youtube videos you will see some players are really new and struggle just to press their 2 buttons while dodging red circles and interrupt their simple combo regularly. So the game gives them time to get used to that before giving them more.

    So it's not about you. It's about the new players who might be overwhelmed by too much.

    Also, the top reason people quit in my opinion is actually the story and how long it is and keeps them reading/watching stuff instead of playing. But that's common in this game even at max level since everything has an unlock quest with lots of text and cutscenes. If they can't handle that then they won't like it at max level either.

    Or CBU3 can nerf the potency of OGCD skill that is above the current dungeon level to only 50 potency, while potency of GCD can stay the way they are, given that is unlikely the confiteor combo, the bloodspiller spam, the fell cleave combo and the gnashing fang combo can one shot a dungeon boss with synched ilvls.

    I almost have RPR leveled now and yea, it's such a fun job, but wow, under 70 it's brutally bad. I think I have like 4 buttons I press. What am I, a healer? Same with DRK below 70, give me a weaker/different version of TBN at lower levels at least, it feels so bad to play DRK without it.

    I done some maths, just for the FoF window, the difference in potency between a PLD in Sastasha and level 90 is this:

    2500 potency over 20 seconds for on level PLD, Level 90 PLD does between 6537.5 and 7037.5 potency (between weakest GCDs and strongest GCDs in the 3 free GCDs). That is an increase of 2.615-2.815 and yes, that is using oGCDs of 50 potency (even CoS being 50 potency in total).

    To put this into context, if your PLD done 10% of a bosses HP in that 20 seconds, at level 18, at level 90, you will shave off 26-28% of that same HP, this is also before we start taking into account the rest of the party.

    Not to mention this punishes jobs that rely on oGCDs for damage. A Job like Warrior is going to suffer less compared to a DRK.

    Its not just about leveling its also event farming and token farming, random rulette farming is a damn important thing in this game for many different reasons.
    Its pretty much the most played part of this game.

    Reaching the End of the Base game at lvl50 and your job still missing most of its Core and Fun rotation and combo gameplay is a HORRIBLE experience...
    Are we seriously arguing that there are some people that MMOs just not meant for them and should not play them to begin with and we should design the MMO for them ?

    Im all for making early game easy to get into but level 40-50 is NOT early game its the End of the Base game where you allready gone through a bunch of dungeons and even some raids and where your Job should feel good to play and should have more of its identity abilities and rotations NOT 2 expansions later, and with how long ARR is by that time you hit 50 you SHOULD have the experience how things work on a basic level, except if the player just don't care, you really want to design the game for people like that ?

    Im absolutely againts this Mentality Seriously, its outright holding back good gamedesign just because there are people that cant press 3 buttons and avoid red circles at lvl40+ after like 20 to 40 hour gameplay.

    I dont know why they dont do it like WoW. You keep all your skills even when playing a dungeon 20 levels below but everything automatically gets synced to that level.

    MY biggest issue when leveling a new job only with roulettes for instance is that i usually get low level Stuff until i'm almost max level with that job. Then suddenly i get a near max level Dungeon and now have 20 skill i don't know what to do with cause i was never able to use them. I literally can't learn to play the job when placed in low level dungeons.

    Because they would end up having to rebalance all of lower level content to contend with power creep. easier to make the leveling process faster to get people through the lower stuff than it would be to re do everything....again.
