Any good will you might have had was just thrown out the window with that kind of comment.
The casual community is what keep this game alive. When all of the mid-to-hardcore players quit because they bumrushed through content to get their Extreme/Savage kick and then quit, it's the casual players who stay subbed on a month-to-month basis. That's not to say there is anything wrong with enjoying FFXIV in either capacity, but don't go blaming another group of players for your misgivings, and being a complete ass about it, when they are not to blame.
Its funny, because in my experience, the worst offenders in the "limsa afking" crowd are the raiders, who need somewhere to show off their shiny weapons. Most of limsa on Jenova is crowded with ultimate weapons.

True, but I'd still consider those people casual players, too. Many casuals also raid, but they aren't likely to be someone in a prog group or even clearing these Extremes/Savages/Ultimates without the assistance of those who came before either directly or indirectly.
Don't forget the non-raiders with expendable income who buy clears so they can feel special without the effort.

If I see people AFK with a casual glam + ultimate weapon I just assume they paid for it. There is a strange trend where 20% of the time legend title players will be masters at savage raids and the other 80% are consistently the most clueless lot you have ever met and will wipe over and over while contributing the lowest damage in the party.

Used to be the same with mentors, whenever you saw the icon you just knew the person was going to be toxic and not know what they were talking about. If I see people AFK with a casual glam + ultimate weapon I just assume they paid for it.
