Half the raid buffs now unlock new powerful actions, tied to the 2 min bursts. They're not backing down from it, they're doubling down.

ppl were on heavy cope if they thought otherwise
It was very unlikely for them to remove it that early, they tend to double down on their decisions for at least a while before reversing course (no matter how much criticism they face).
Wonder if they'll scramble when the playerbase starts to dwindle in DawnTrail.
How could the graphical update not keep players engaged and subscribed? Spent so much money on it!
At least they should shift the power from party buffs to only be 5% in total and more dps increase from personal buffs, it wouldn#t feel as bad..
Some of the jobs just have a party buff for the sake of having one, despite their job identity being absolutely selfish otherwise..
I like to imagine, that during their balance passes for DT, as they were adjusting their 4th reactive 2 minute burst aoe, that someone had the realization that they need to start working on making the jobs more distinct for 8.0.
I didn’t expect anything to change when they actively said 7.0 is going to just continue adding to the existing pool and this seems exactly as advertised… now 8.0 it could change and the reason there is they’re likely thinking how to tackle levelling and what’s beyond lvl 100 that in turn taking feedback in I can imagine another combat overhaul akin to stormblood or something where jobs change again because a new meta is occurring or whatever they decide to do. That’s what I think may happen but we shall see, end of the day I don’t exactly mind what theyre doing anyway. With all these mitigation buffs just please imply things hit harder but doubtful lol
Playerbase dwindling has nothing to do with the combat in the game and more to do with how terrible EW's post patches were.
I doubt most players even care about the simplification of combat
