Please reform the achievement system

When I saw this, I was hoping people were requesting new kinds of challenges. Right now, it's basically complete X (e.g., Bowl of Embers (EX)) and get the achievement. But there's no complete X with/without Y (e.g., Bowl of Embers (EX) MINE getting DPS check before 50%). I'm blanking creatively on what kinds of sub-achievements could be recorded, but I've definitely seen them in other games, usually based on some core mechanic for a fight.

Id opt to get rid of all the junk above the search info like playtimes and what you like to do (pvp,glamour,events) and let us display achievements and titles

They already did a big overhaul of the achievement window itself with Endwalker, but there's always room for improvement. I like some of the ideas in this thread already, like having multiple titles on the adventurer plate, or having small HUD widget with a few achievements that you've got pinned to your watch list. And more stuff from the Keeper of the Roles.

I'd immediately have my Tankless Job for WAR pinned achievement on that widget. That grind to 700 is real, and I bet its about to hit 900 or 1000 with Dawntrail....

That said: I've had the best luck with my UI suggestions going into the UI specific forum, not general discussion. I didn't feel like it was a huge, huge improvement, but I did very much appreciate the QoL upgrades the journal got. I would like to see collections of achievements that are do something, 100, 200, 500, 1000 times collapsed into a single bit of UI with markers and rewards on a line. I can understand why they don't as you'd see how few actual achievements we have.

There are multiple ways that you can show off multiple titles, like swapping your title to Alpha Wolf when you're doing PvP, or put one title on your character and another on your adventurer plate. It also doesn't have to be overwritten once you get a new one. I understand having multiple that you like, but things that mattered to your yesterday don't have to become meaningless because you got something today.

I'd consider swapping titles more often if I could favorite a handful and didn't need to sift through the entire list every time.

Never cared about achievements. Anyway, they are all spread out across several characters as I just play what I want and how I want. Like I'd have all the rare hunt achievements and many more if they were combined but I don't give a damn. The only thing that feels silly is how I have mentor status (hidden) on several characters and appear as a total sprout on others. Not pissed but it makes me laugh as it is absurd. Seeing more achievements displayed above other people's heads would just be one more incentive to disable them all in my options. I never look at adventurer's plates.

When's the last time that poor NPC in Gridania by Apkallu falls got any new rewards you could trade achievement points for? I feel like if that NPC was given some cool new rewards that took A LOT of achievement points, like 200+ points instead of 10 or 20, that would make me much more inclined to finish some achievements that I've started and dropped over the years. My main WoL has a ton of points banked that he can't spend anything on, and my alt already bought everything available by the time I got her to the end of the ARR patches.

Honestly, I imagine they just want him and the achievement currency to go away given the fact that he hasn't gotten new items in forever.

Please no, we don't need more visual garbage. If they ever add this it better have an accompanying new toggle in settings to turn off for other players.

You can just turn titles off instead of restricting others from enjoying there own

Put some of the really rare quick exploration venture rewards behind achievement certificates. They have a good system but its under utilized.

Could also gate the rewards towards overall achievement progress.
