I'm fairly surprised at all this campaigning for special in-game items. Rein, and Mog are two very well known players/posters on Final Fantasy XIV. However all of this is slightly unnecessary.

On one hand you have Rein, who takes his spare time to translate JPN posts too the best of his abilities. This has made him very popular on the forums garnering the respect of even Yoshi-P himself. Does Rein really need a Subligar though? He got two posts (and even a PM) from the Director/Producer himself. That's something that 99.99999% of all players will NEVER receive. That is something I personally (if I had received it) would have been extremely proud of.

Mog is also known as a quality poster, and even very popular in-game on other servers. His Linkshell has garnered the respect of many players, and his videos are used as a stepping stone to help conquer in-game content. That's a pretty big feat to be popular on a server that's not his own.

While both are extremely popular, and talented in their own respective ways. I would much rather see Yoshi-P and team use their time efficiently and bring us the best damn MMORPG they can, rather than make artificial items that we'll throw on our retainers.

The difference being that the thread for Reinheart was made by someone other than himself (me) to just be a show of appreciation.


I don't expect anything to come of the other thread. It was mostly just an idea to show Rein how much we appreciate his hard work. If it causes anything to happen, then yay for us. If not, at least Rein can see just how many people appreciate what he does almost every day for us.
