You need to work on your English. I didn't call you frauds. I said some were engaging in a form of fraud.I think that's very insulting if you think just because our countries is not registered you have the right to call us frauds.
And you're asking why I want to continue playing this game with DT in the corner? After I have 3000 days subscribed?
Why are you commenting here if it has nothing to do with you and I don't need your condescending and insulting tone? Is this what fuel your day and help you sleep at night?
The EULAs for each region spell out what countries a player can reside in to purchase a game license for that region. By accepting the EULA after installing the game and anytime we are required to reconfirm our acceptance of the EULA, you are intentionally misrepresenting yourself to get access to the game if you do not reside in one of the listed countries.
That is considered fraud. Something doesn't have to be criminal or financial in nature to be considered fraud.
Pointing out it is fraud has nothing to do with where those affected live or what I think of their personal character. There are all sorts of laws and regulations in every country around the world that interfere with the ability of businesses and consumers to freely work together. It would be nice if local governments would loosen up many of their restrictions to benefit all parties. But they aren't.
Businesses have their hands tied when local governments will not change.
Now I suggest that those affected take this up a notch since Support does not seem to be helpful here. If you have already pre-ordered and paid for Dawntrail, demand a refund if the payment method and address information you used is the same as the payment method and address information they are now refusing to accept. If it was valid and accepted for the pre-order, then it should be valid and accepted for the subscription renewal.
Failure to either issue the refund or correct the payment situation could be considered fraud on SE's part for taking money for a product then denying access to the service required to use that product when the same payment method is being used. That is going to create ugly publicity for SE regardless of what led up to this happening. It's still going to be an uphill battle for you if you're living in a country not listed in your game license's EULA but it has the potential to at least work because of the negative publicity it will generate.
In which case you'll be screaming into emptiness when your subscription runs out because there's a good chance that SE won't do anything here.

My senses are tingling this thread will be completely removed due to the curse words spewed back and forth.
Well, if anything, maybe posting to Technical Support part might help, since I know where's one active mod there (and I say this loosely really). This thread here. If it's like the ping issues from before, eventually they have to address it, which is why I encourage to post there.

Its not just sea players having issues people from NA/EU are also having issues with cards that worked before this processor update and no longer working. This isn't some conspiracy from square enix to get rid of sea players from Japanese servers but with how rude and nasty your being you seem to going to continue to make claims the Japanese are being xenophobic racist and don't want you to play on there server.
That is when the true Vana'diel of legend will be reborn.
The only thing more amazing than the OP's conspiracy theory is the utter lack of empathy shown by some players in this thread. Not going to drop names, but some of you actually think players having this issue are entirely at fault or even deserving of it. Wow. It's as if I never left the official forums of a certain other huge MMORPG!

It really sounds like a conspiracy theory but the thing is, back when EW was up for preorder I had issues with payment for days before support got back to me and fixed it. I'm an EU player, paying with an EU card with the same EU address I play with. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to go all these roundabout ways to just be able to play on the other hand, I have SEA friends and they keep out of JP servers for a good reason. They prefer the EU and NA atmosphere, much more laidback.
Look. There's been a lot of drama surrounding the JP servers (their PF etiquette, savage etiquette just to start with) so maaaybe it is better to leave them be?
That being said, at the risk of sounding like the devil's advocate I'd just... not.... make a character on JP servers. Go to another, there's plenty.
On top of that, I wonder if paypal is still an option for crysta top ups for your country?

this just in: GoG secretly hates Americans because I haven't been able to pay with a card on that site in literal years LMAO
(...they take paypal though, which at least is merely annoying instead of impossible)
I have been reading that the problem at least for NA players is that DEBIT CARDS are not being accepted. Regular Visa is still going through fine.
For those of us in NA we at least have the chance to use Paypal if we do not have a regular Visa. For other countries it gets really messy.
Edit: I just tested. I tried to add a retainer to my account (which had successfully renewed after the change with my Debit card) and everything borked up. I changed from a debit card to an actual Visa and it went through no problem. So for NA people having a problem it looks like it is DEBIT CARDS even though it says you can use them.
