If you have retainers, want to buy something in mogstation, then you can't do that. Given if Timecards work cause from what I heard, it seems to do address verification also.

I've never seen a company work so hard on making paying for it harder. I really hate it. I wish we had paysafe here, but it's not available in my country.
It's so stressful, everytime my sub comes around I'm stressed...now I know it probably will never renew again. I won't be able to buy anything from the mogstation and will lose my retainers. Just lovely.

As a SEA player I always renew my sub with gametime cards, but this time I ran into the address verification issue. Entering the same address I used for years gave me an 'invalid address' error.
The way I solved it was by using an address lookup website that checks if my address exists. I just had to change my zip code to a different one for the area, and change my street address to match the valid format for the address website (valid format seems to be [Street Number, Street]). Took me two hours to fix my address info and I was about to quit ffxiv forever until I solved this.
Edit: you may have to abbreviate Street as St, like 12 Greenhill Street vs 12 Greenhill St

As a player with an EU credit card but an American address in their system, (moved to Germany a few years back,) I've been able to get Crysta with both Paypal and Amazon, tied to the German card. It's annoying, but it works.

I've been getting the 'This card is unavailable at this time" error when trying to purchase something off the mogstation. Is that related to the address error everyone else is bringing up?
My subscriptions up for renewal in 2 days, and it's been 3 days already with no word from Square...

I'm sorry you guys have to deal with this bs. Hopefully what they mentioned on the Lodestone is true and existing subscriptions won't be affected.
This change should not have an impact on customers who have a recurring subscription. However, customer payments will begin using the new payment processor as soon as any change is made to an existing subscription plan, such as changing the payment method, or setting up a new recurring subscription.

I'm in EU and so far I wasn't "kicked out" of my current paymant method yet, but I'll probably switch to paypal as a temporary measure when needed until I can find a better option. I bought paysafecard in the grocery store for a long time until I learned these cards expire and lost some good money due to that, but ofc if one keeps track of this stuff properly, this isn't such an issue. But ofc this is not available in many places.
I would highly recommend SEA players (and others with troubles) to contact SE support directly via the website, not this forum. They can hardly ignore a wave of "we have no option to pay you for your game" tickets. Include any error numbers you find in any part of whatever process your tried. They want money, you want to give them money, there should be enough motivation for them to fix this.

The address verification is because they still havent verified their address. What is the exact problem: We had special characters in the address before, and SE changed it but the tooltip only says alphanumerical, so people have to remove . - etc, and only use numbers, letters and space. After that update is done, they can add gamecard times OR use Paypal for crysta.
Suggestion is to use an US address that you wont forget, like MIA's airport (not Disneyworld, because they're supposedly leaving Florida).
If you have paypal you can add the crysta needed and get the discount that way. Here is the extra costs from using "Gamecard":
- On top of high currency exchange rate, you're forced to sub on Standard most people don't need.
- I just want to sub for a month.
- Retailers took extra cut + purchasing/processing fee.
- You won't get the 12 Euro discount for subbing 6 months with gamecard.
Problem solved when SQEX fix and improve their crap.
Try updating your address without special characters, if you're getting the "invalid address".
Oh i forgot something important: We have to do this update on MICROSOFT EDGE, with all cookies and cache deleted there.

My address has never had any special characters. Tried every solution nothing works, If this goes past a Week SE will really catch Hell. The address verification is because they still havent verified their address.
