Cannonically speaking, when does the Wol brush their hair? It took until SHB for Wol to take a shower.
I also like the messy look, looks less like plastic to me, but I can agree on the 1 single braid, though Early to Rise is my favourite hairstyle. That hairstyle would have been better without it.
But looking at the males who have a set of lion-like mains with braids and some that are thighed back, I am glad that they followed the same idea for the females.
My favourite ones so far are the one in my sig and the blue "Hand Wraps" one from the official art

canon is irrelevant since we can play both genders & different races!
but i agree that one you pointed out looks promising & she's super pretty.
and idm messy hairstyles in general but theyre boring at the same time, i get what you mean by them looking less plastic-y and i agree. but they tend to have a / \ shape like a triangle small top with larger floating bottom. ill admit i am being super nitpicky. its all down to preference for everyone atp.
overall i cant wait to see them bc we've really only seen 3 actual hairstyles i think? and its nice to see that they're not just confined to the 1990s mel gibson lethal weapon mullet with a single braid.

Almost here, folks! What will they show us?

They seem to be mostly sure they can release it during summer. So besides showing off a female hrothgar and some of the combat for viper and pictomancer. I think it's safe to say they will show off some of the items from the collector's edition of dawn trail.
Thinking about the collector's edition makes me really hope the weapon glamour is Zidane's blades. It such a good design I would love to use it with my future hrothgar viper.

A question for those who have already played as Hrothgar for a long time before
How does Jandelaine's aesthetic services work in their case? Can you change the fluff color on your body completely, or just your hair color like other races? And what about the shape and color of the patterns? Hmm... the tail, I suppose, is a personality trait, same as Miqo'te's. Maybe tassels on the ears?..

You can change:
- hairstyle (this was from patch 6.1)
- Fur colour and highlights (this will affect the hairstyle, fur patches and the patterns)
- The fur patterns themselves
- Facial features (Like scars, ear fluff, whiskers, etc)
- Tattoos (and their colour)
- Face paint (and the colour)

Sorry for the double post, but I think they said that because Zidane's job was Thief I think. In an older interview, I believe Yoshi P said they don't want the wol to be a thief because of negative connotations (Just like Necromancer). Just like they did with rogues turning into ninjas.
But we could still get the weapon, just under a different name and slightly altered to fit the new job, who is in essence a thief, but repurposed as a skilled hunter Viper.


Small tangent here (and to avoid triple posting), but I would love it if one of the new Jobs will have a female Hrothgar as a teacher! Just like GBK (male Hrothgar) and SGE (male Viera)!
My hope is that it would be the Pictomancer, but based on the art, it is most likely to be Viper if they would go that route (Like the GBK)
But DNC has a female Viera representative, but the teacher were a Midlander and Miquo'te, or RPR had a male Viera representative, but the teacher was Garlean, etc. So it is not a guarantee.

I wonder what options female hrothgar have going for them. With the trailer I noticed all of them had the same tail style and none had fur patterns like male hrothgar.

Every race and gender have the same number of customization tabs at 20. Not counting the Ear/tail size tab or the bust size tab.
So, it is clear they left out key customization options in the trailer. Sure, some of them have an earring/clip but odds are that was part of the Facial features tab.

One theory I had was tail ring options after seeing Wuk Lamat, but no tail rings are in the trailer. So, the trailer has left me really curious about what they haven't shown off yet.

And I wasn’t aware that until 6.1, Hrothgar couldn’t even change their hairstyles? Think I heard something like that, but didn't understand correctly. Glad it's changed for the better, although it still sounds shockingly weird.
Hope over time more hairstyles have been adapted for them and the Viera, and we'll get it with DT.

Also Viper's point makes sense, indeed, and the idea of ​​carefully working with names also deserves approval. I'd also like to see a female Hrothgar as one of them, and think the new gear would look great on her!

Maybe they wasn't here before in-game, but they EXIST for the world and in the world. It is important!

Yeah, also noticed that in the trailer everyone’s tails were the same. Since seem no reason to deprive them of special features, obviously, I would assume it's in the same boat with the "third face" matter (it's a tradition to hide the third one? xD), and was kept for the sake of stir up the interest of the players.
However, I also have a question on my mind: will they have a slider to adjust the muscles? Since they are obviously heavily built this seems logical, but I remember someone telling me early on there is a reason why no such slider for Miqo'te and Elezen, it is being replaced by ear sliders or tail sliders. Hmm... But tail ring actually seems like a cool option, anyway!

Certainly noticed the lack of fur patterns and it concerns me a little. I hope the Benchmark will come with stripes and dots and all that stuff because where is the point in playing a "big cats" species when the various fur patterns of all sorts of big cats are not existent? (Even lions have dots at a young age, no excuses there, devs! :P )
It is still early enough to say this might be still in development and therefore they don't show it but not sure how much this would be an actual accurate reason and how much this is me inhaling hopium.
