    It’s nice to see you coming around on tanks encroaching into other roles, pretty soon we can reasonably expect role exclusion rather than merely job. It’s a shame you lack baldy’s audience, but even still it can’t be long now before balance completely falls apart. Soon we’ll be able to see if roles get axed entirely or given stances back and effects split appropriately. It does have to happen soon though, or the expectation that tanks can do it all will be too ingrained. Frogs in teapots and all that.

    If powercreep continues then yeah, i wouldn't be surprised if single healer comps would become standardised without countermeassures. I don't see tanks replacing dps any time soon though, our damage is still pretty far behind them (Which is good)

    Would love to see MCH get a grappling hook gap closer. It fits the job fantasy, bard gets a jump back, dancer gets a dash with charges on it. Think it'd be neat if MCH had something too. Could work like Icarus does for sages where it works on party members or enemies.

    Dancers: Something to make the gameplay outside of Technical Step more engaging (because honestly they can't fit anything new in there anymore). Closed Position's recast time removed, so we can have some more skill ceiling optimizations with it.

    Summoners: Phoenix's rotation reworked to be more unique. 3 new sets of gemstones bound to Firebird Trance to complete the aetherial wheel elements and with a more cast time oriented gameplay. Split summoning Bahamut and Phoenix so we can choose which one goes first. Energy Drain/Fester/Aetherflow reworked because it looks like a bland leftover from the previous job design.

    Black Mage: Sharpcast changed to make the next Thunder 3 instant. This way you can make those 'wasted' Thundercloud procs useful without hijacking your thunder refresh.

    Astrologian: Draw becomes a GDC and Play an OGCD (or the other way around). Minor arcana completely redesigned (honestly anything could be better than the current iteration).

    Well obviously they deal little damage outside of the burst. Else they'd output more damage than dps jobs themselves...

    But that's fair, then give me dps jobs that have the same burst to filler damage ratio and we're talking again. It further cements how the game is trying to thin the line between tanks and other roles, and it doesn't feel right that if I actually like jobs with big bursts, those days I actually have better play a tank than any DPS in the game. Maybe that's just a me problem though.

    I would also like to see tanks deal less burst damage, and less overall damage, they should be put in line with healer levels of damage. I want damage checks to be fully shifted into the hands of the DPS and not a 40/50~ like it is right now.

    Specifically for support-oriented jobs: I want my support capability to be noticeable enough without looking at funny numbers. Make my impact/presence noticeable. How noticeable? The kind of impact that makes selfish job thinks "Hmm, I can solo this encounter just fine. But if I had the help of X job, I can be more efficient!".

    Otherwise, just rip the bandage---abolish the selfish/support split and turn all 21 jobs into 3 jobs, one job per major role. Of course it wouldn't be happening because how else they're able to sell their expansion?!

    Tanks aren't that far ahead of the healers.
    If i was going to do the same dps as someone mashing a single button i'd feel invalidated though.
    I think if that were ever to happen, i'd just quit tanking.
