RP shout ads are obstructive to chat and gameplay

So then complain to GMs. Tell them your gameplay is being affected. If they action it, then they care. If they don't action it, it's not an issue to them, whether or not you want it to be.

In my time playing I don't think I've seen a shout in a major city that wasn't a venue ad, or ad for an FC.
Maybe it's a server thing, but you get barely any FC ads on Omega, most of the ads are some venue, which is usually more on fridays.

I have no idea what you're trying to say here. I said venue ads have taken over shout and you say that's not true because hunts use discord. What? The you proceed to talk about trains ... Relics... Cross DC... What does any of that have to do with shout ads taking over shout chat? This just looks like an attempted derailment and topic change to start veering off course again.
If you're suggesting that players use a second device and/or program to miss less hunts, that's not a solution to the spam in shout chat, that merely enables more of it. And I'm unsure as to why people are trying to hyperfixate on hunts, probably because it seems like the easiest thing on the long list of things that are disrupted to find a "solution" to but none of that changes the fact that shout ads are a problem and something needs to be done about it. Even people who have some here to argue and be immature, without realizing it, have confirmed the problem. Not that it needs extra confirmation, it's a well known fact that it's out of hand.
This morning I pitched this idea that I've suggested to a venue owner, and they were in love with it. So I can't make sense of why people are trying to argue against having something more efficient and effective to use. There's literally no logical reason behind it, only people arguing for the sake of it. Must be American culture , argue about left and right. I don't get it. Here's a solution. Fight it or embrace and support it

Shout ads are a direct violation of this part of the tos, and people don't have the right to tell people their gameplay isn't disrupted, if a person feels it's disrupted

Someone commented that shout chat isn't really used for content these days, including hunt trains.
You replied by saying it was because shout chat was overrun by spam.
I was correcting you by saying it's more efficient to organize content like that over Discord/linkshells because of how large of a community they have these days (due in part to how quickly you can farm tomes for EW relics) and because cross-DC is a thing so notifying people of trains off DC is easier through non-shout means. It's completely unrelated to venue spam basically, as you claimed. You'll also find other content organized through Discord as well like Baldesion Arsenal (Eureka) and Delubrum Reginae Savage (Bozja/Zadnor) because of similar reasons (also because you need voice chat for callouts).

As far as Disruption goes, you're welcome to report people for that and see where it goes I guess.

How is it a "direct violation"?? Are they blocking your access to click on something? Are they constantly attempting to trade with you and stopping you from doing anything? Are they directing telling at you, over and over and over? And ok, you get rid of shout ads. Are you somehow thinking people are going to replace that with Shouts for other stuff?
Also, what kind of BS is "if a person feels it's disrupted"? No, its not based on your feeling. It's based on Square's feeling. You can feel disrupted all you like. But if Square doesn't feel the same, then you aren't.

Yeah this is where I kind of question what they define as disruption, just because of how vaguely it's worded and their reference to hacking their own computers/servers. I feel like it's not a personal feeling type of disruption but one that physically prevents you from playing the game (i.e. someone DDoSing you or the trade spam to prevent movement).

Don't feel bad. You could set a dull rock in the middle of the forums, call it shiny and find yourself with 100 pages of people arguing about it.

Plus on NA we kinda think or know devs really don't read our stuff or ignore it. That and trolls tend to bury decent idea topics quick

Pretty much this, and why I lack the energy to continue trying. Devs gotta actually want to listen to us instead of leaving the forum to become the "Wild West" it is now. I think I've seen an actual staff member (not tech support) reply to a thread on here once in the 3ish years I've been on here haha. I get the "never give up" mentality, but I can only talk to a brick wall (the devs) so many times before feeling dumb for trying to talk to a brick wall.

If you were one of the devs , after seeing the state of these forums... Would you read it or take any of it seriously? People legit out here attacking one another because they made a good suggestion. People choose to look for things to pick apart and argue about, rather than simply say "hey yeah that is a good idea and it would work. They should add it" ... It's 90% brain-dead in English forums
