Why is Summoner healing so nerfed, even compared to other DPS?

Well ACN no longer has access to Bio but if you get queued in Sastasha as SCH, you get Bio (level 2 SCH)

I wanna know why smn have to have a book instead of a whip like rydia from ffIV or a rod like summoners typically do, books do not fit smn at all lol. Interesting that they still keep physic on summoner. Guess every job has at least one button that is almost never used yet SE keep them. (looks at sage garbage pepsis and ast garbage undraw).

SCH’s Physick is different from the ACN Physick. You can actually have both on your hotbar. It’s very weirdly coded up.

In addition, you can even see it in-game. If you go into Scholar's Actions & Traits menu, the only action they get from their Arcanist class is Resurrection. Everything else - including their Physick - is from their Job.

Okay, so the core answer is that "Magic Healing Potency" only matters for healers and Summoner, everyone else uses different stats entirely for healing magic and the game simply keeps that opaque?

i think we need less explanations as to why, and more an answer on why square thought it was ok? considering the nerfs sum gets as a "support", same a my boy redmage getting shafted..

Oh, the "why is it nerfed" has been chewed over for years. We were wondering how it could be so bad compared to Dancer heals and Second Wind when the Mind stat was so similar.

absolutely, and agreed, its just negligence bordering on disney movie step child levels of neglect is all i'm saying, its as simple as giving smn a passive called egi physic, or whatever, that makes it scale off int, yet square cant be bothered...

Just delete SMN physick, why are people foaming at the mouth to have a weak GCD heal on a DPS, SMN already has the highest incidental healing of the DPS classes in content, it doesn’t need a GCD heal

I also think SMN physick should be removed. But if people want to keep it, it should be only allowed to be cast on self and have a 2 minute or so cooldown. We don't need more DPS trying to act as a third healer instead of a DPS.
